Having a different view than you is not negativity.
I would ask you who have the filmmakers interviewed that has not discussed his involvement in Masters of the Universe in the last 30 years?
A film that appeals to a general audience with a casual interest in He-Man is not going to explore the minutiae of Masters of the Universe.

You have a valid point. But most people would rather sit down and watch a 90 minute documentary that compiles a number of new interviews with people involved in a franchise, then have to look around everywhere for individual interviews. That could take forever! You might find some posted online, or in old magazines, but it would be a real chore to find them all. And it's always nice to see a face on camera, talking about the work they did on something you loved. Often things that get missed in a written interview have a way of popping up in a filmed interview.

I know, right? I was really psyched to hear about that. Plus, just because someone has been interviewed before doesn't mean they won't offer interesting new perspectives and comments. In an all inclusive documentary about the history of Masters of the Universe you're obviously going to see those familiar names. It would be incomplete without them! If new information results, then great. If not, it's still cool to have a comprehensive documentary covering MOTU in the works! Clearly, everyone is entitled to their own view Adam_Prince of Eternia, but maybe hold off until you've seen the finished product. You might be surprised - even by those people you've already heard from in the past! Personally, I'm quite excited about it.![]()
Keep in mind, according to Corey, this documentary isn't necessarily just going to be targeting the hardcore MOTU fans. That's an exciting prospect.
we do not know much about the power tour and they interviewed jack and leslie and also gary goddard about it , so this will be something new for us.
I am very excited about it.
In fairness, we're in a wait and see on what the documentary will be like.
Who knows what all they discuss or what they talk about. No doubt there will be things a number of us already know, but I'm sure there will be new material.
Plus, it'll be fun to have all these interviews and recordings in one documentary. Heck, just imagine how many folks out there don't know any of this stuff who will now be exposed to it, despite all the various info that's been floating around for years.![]()
How have I only heard about this? Sounds phenomenal. Whens it coming out?![]()
There's so much on the MOTU history that I just wouldn't know what to put in and what to cut out. I don't envy these guys, but I am anxious to see the documentary.
We survived the long night.... MOTU Forever!
Wow, this looks like it might be the best behind-the-scenes look at MOTU we've ever had!
Can't wait to see it.![]()
Fantastic interview with Alan Oppenheimer today. Said he'd be down for a MOTU convention, wherever/whenever. Great guy.

I had no idea there was a Live Action TV show in the works. I thought about that when I was watching Hercules on Netflix the other day.
A TV show would work now. SY-FY would be all over that.
We survived the long night.... MOTU Forever!
Wow, am I the only one to be excited for this?![]()

Given the number of excited posts above you throughout this thread (including myself), I'd say no.

BCI did contact Mr. Oppenheimer and Mr. Erwin for the documentaries. For the longest time, their respective agents declined their participation. Some money-issues were also at affect, if I remember correctly.
BCI did manage to get Alan for the Secret of the Sword -commentary.
I wonder if they will be showing and talking about all the different Masters of the Universe fan websites there are on the internet and commenting on them.
