What I do with my other variants, put them on a different shelf. Yellow Evil-Lyn will be joining regular Stratos, vsDC Merman, vsDC He-Man, and regular Skeletor.
So with the reveal of BG Evil Lyn, I've been pondering how to incorporate her and the first release into my collection and story.
My first approach was to make them Lyn at two different points, with BG Evil Lyn being her natural form, and the yellow version being a result of her working with dark magic. I thought about it some more, and came to another idea.
I've decided that the 1st release is actually Evil-Lyn's mother...The Sultress!
The Sultress was an ambitious sorceress bent on gaining ultimate power. During this search, she came into contact with King Hsss who told her of a spell that would allow her to steal power from the Council of Elders. What was required was an heir to sacrifice as part of the ritual. They made a deal that King Hsss would provide her with the ritual if she agreed to help him and use that power to defeat the Council. Sultress eagerly agreed.
Sultress managed to seduce Nickolas Powers and become pregnant. What the Sultress didn't realize was that she was being used as a pawn by King Hsss to get the Eye of Serpos. Once Evelyn was born and Sultress brought her to King Hsss to perform the rite, Sultress was killed by the Snake Men and baby Evelyn was taken hostage and held ransom for the Eye of Serpos, which Nikolas turned over to King Hsss for her safe return. This ended in tragedy anyway, as Zalesia was destroyed and the Council turned Nikolas into the Faceless one for his actions.
Anyway, that's my take. What's yours?

We are going to have a one-on-one relationship now. About time.
My seller/trader/buyer feedback:

MOTUC Most Wanted: Skeletor's Robot Knights, Two-Bad, Horde Troopers, Modulok, Sssqueeze, Tung Lashor, Stridor, Night Stalker, the Battle Ram, and a true, alternate head for Wun-Dar (since he's a "different" character)!
The yellow version will move up to my preternia/variant shelf while 200x/battleground becomes the standard version for my villains display (she DOES look a lot better).
CyberV... FOR VICTORY!
I have a shelf that I call "The Toy Line Canon" which is where I put Teela with the snake armor, He-Man with the axe and shield, Man at arms without the stache, etc. I guess you could call this the "cardback canon". So my yellow lynn will go with that set of figs.
The yellow Teela will go into the extra figure bin on the bottom.
Then again...maybe she can be the Bride of Faker? Faker got lonely and demanded Skeletor make him a woman? So naturally she's modeled after Snake Mountain's number one girl.
Hm...can I do that? Can I justify keeping my most hated motuc figure on the shelf as a robotic Evil Lyn? Crap! I may end up keeping her displayed after all.![]()
I'm going to stand her right next to the Battleground Evil-Lyn, just to prove that a wormhole in the space time continuum won't be opened by having the same character on the shelf twice.
In all seriousness though, classic Lyn will likely retain prominence in my rotating display. She's awesome and nostalgic.
Got rid of her the day I got her. Lyn is probably the only character where I just can't stand the classic version. So glad I can have a lyn to display now...
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!
Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?
I might throw mine in a box or something with my vintage He-Man body (with surplus King Grayskull head), missing tooth Skeletor, my extra, capeless Keldor with vintage Skellie armour, 1.0 She-Ra with 2.0's head and Teela's Snake headdress.
Evil Simian Mechanic of the Horde!
Keeping her where she is. Love those classic toy colors even if it is a ridiculous shade of yellow.
That's one thing I always loved about MOTU...the eye catching and awesome color combos.

BLÅÇK FLØWËRŠ!!!!
Keep classic Lyn with the Evil warriors and BG Lyn with Battle ground characters... Can't wait for more BG people to come on board.
We don't need no education...
Yes you do, you've just used a double negative!
My original yellow-skinned Evil-Lyn stays right where she is. Next to Skeletor as part of my vintage MOTUC Evil Warriors line up.
BG Lyn will be standing next to her daddy. FO needs to keep an eye on her!![]()
By the Power... and For the Honor of GRAYSKULL!!!
HE-MAN and SHE-RA Rules!!!

I'm planning a pre-Skeletor era display so she'll be placed next to Keldor, Kronis and the blind swordsman (custom head by TIN).

Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.
My yellow Evil Lyn will stay on my MOC display wall. However, BG Evil Lyn will not only have a place there, but in my loose display as well!![]()
I'm hoping for a Disco Skeletor for the next subscription exclusive! Fully flocked!
"I don't like to feel good! I like to feel EVIL!"
well, the yellow skinned will the be the one and only evil-lyn on my shelves:
the unhelmeted battle ground version will be faceless one's wife and lyn's mother.
Vintage Evil-Lyn stays with Skeletor and his villains while BG Evil-Lyn will go with FO, Marzo etc...
I'll be selling mine as I only really got her for Screech i wasn't expecting the purple evil-lyn for some time.
so who wants a yellow one without screech?
I loved the crazy color combos too! Not only that…she's a fantasy character…I don't see anyone complaining about the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz being green…
At any rate…I'm just reconciling the difference in colors that something happened to her at some point that turned her yellow. I'm pretty sure Val had a story worked out for the MVC comic that explained this but they never got to it.
200X fan? Classic fan? What does that mean? I'm a MotU fan!!!
I am still going to love her,but like someone mentioned earlier she will go on the shelf with the younger versions of the Evil Warriors like Kronis and Keldor.
The BG version is my preferred version.
I'm going to display her with my collection of Playmate's Simpsons figures. D'oh!
I'm kidding, I didn't buy her at allBut she will take my 200X Staction's place, and I'll display that somewhere else.
Also I don't have a Simpson's collection either.
