For once, I feel fine with this inconsistency. I'm more worked up about her not having an open hand. THAT is the change that needs to happen more than the color of her wings.

Agreed. The 4H did a color choice preference that I think fixes the original design. I always felt as though they went for cheap on the paint for the underside of the wings...

That's your personal opinion. Not everyone feels this way. I mean, all the artists in the 80's wouldn't agree. Neither would nature.

One thing people aren't really considering is that the blue on the inside is a potential disaster. The wings rub together when you move them (as anyone with the 80's toy knows)...so...the blue paint will almost positively chip off...

I'll join the minority and say I really want the interior wings to be all orange. She looks nice already but all orange on the inside is the way to go. I want her Filmation accurate, not improved as some say. If we can have a filmation accurate Shadow Weaver and Catra, then why not the Sorceress. I think 200X fans would have an issue if they didn't get the Sorceress they deserve when the time comes. Maybe the design team will take creative liberties with other characters and then you'd never hear the end of it. I'll snap her up quick because she is a beautiful figure and my favorite character in the franchise but please give me all orange on the interior wings. Give them a wash or something but you guys have to see the point of wanting the traditional vision.

And, I'll add one smarty pants comment about my lack of faith in the factories that construct the figures...they are blue on both sides in case some moron gets them reversed.

Like I said earlier, after looking at the photos, I think the blue feathers are moulded in blue rather than painted. Can anyone who saw the thing in person say for sure?

Wow, I actually do like the full orange wings better (I know I'm in the minority here).

IMO the problem with the figure as shown in the official image is that the blue almost dominates the wings too much. the orange has become much more secondary of a color than it should be. If just the tips of the wings were blue (similar to the 200X classic colors staction or Emiliano's 'MOTUC visions' drawing of her look), it wouldn't be so bad. Though I do think that I'd still prefer the full orange.

Since I'm going to have to be online to order Photog in January anyway, maybe I'll order an extra Sorceress to customize.

I think I can go either way. I can see the logic for all orange since the cartoon, comics and original figures were that way...but I do think the blue looks better.
I agree with the comment about the staff. Seems to be missing something

I think a golden Staff is better as a white one, but the Toy have a white one, also i know why she have a white Staff.

Agreed! Quite honestly, I'm a bit shocked by the vast preference for the blue / orange interior. It's ironic that the one time I fall in to the "vintage purist mentality" regarding a character seems to be the one time that most of the others who prefer the vintage look stay quiet...

Hmmmmm, I'm totally torn. I think though I'm in the minority as well and would rather the inside be solid orange and the backside be the blue and orange after looking at the comparison pics.

I think she looks perfect as she was shown at SDCC. It is an upgrade to the solid orange of the past IMO. Great work 4 Horsemen!!!
