SDCC 2011 MOTUC Walkthrough Video w/ ToyGuru

    Hey guys!

Back from SDCC , and I'm wiped! But as always, I got a chance to get a detailed walkthrough with Scott "ToyGuru" Neitlich on the newly revealed MOTU toys!

It's almost 45 minutes of details and up close looks! Enjoy!

For those who are for some reason having issues with the Blip player (and keep missing the YT embed in the thread) here's the YouTube version of the video.

If you bought the sub already it states that the total will be $430 + shipping, but the breakdown was wrong and the 4 quarterly variants were not added. Price should be $510 + shipping.

Awesome! But I can hear the complaints about how little time TG spent on the Star Sisters already (I did want him to spend a little more time on them as he did the others, I must say, but know it wasn't intentional to be so quick).

Interesting how 5 characters pretty much received so much new tooling compared to years past.

Holy god this makes some of the things A LOT better than originally suspected!

Especially the unfinished things on Thunder Punch He-Man! Makes me even more excited for one of my favorite versions of He-Man!

Thank you so much for this Pixel Dan and Toyguru! I was hoping for another awesome walk through from you guys and this one was just off the charts with all the killer stuff coming!

    Thanks Dan.

Kind of sucks that the 6 figures won't have a rerelease.

I am now looking forward to the mini comics.

Great video and a BIG thanks to Toyguru for taking the time to give us an in-depth look at each of these upcoming items. I'm even more excited now for many of the things shown in the Matty Panel after getting a closer look!!!

All I can say at this point is "I WANT IT ALL NOW!!!!!" Great job Mattel and the 4 Horsemen!!!! This is the best action figure line EVER!

Only thing he told me was that he'd be HUGE, is a non-sub figure, and would cost $80.

Glad you guys enjoyed! Lots of info in there!

That was fantastic. A HUGE thank you to Toyguru and Dan for this walkthrough!

I'm actually even interested in those mini-comics now, and I loathe preternia. Now I want to read them, they sound killer!

Awesome! It was so great to see how they work after looking at them behind the case all weekend.

And one of the funniest moments I experienced at Comic Con this year was first seeing Scott get bombarded with questions at the new MOTUC case of figures. You could tell he was a little overwhelmed by all of the tedious questions and sometimes negative tones people were throwing at him. He walked around the corner in front of where Swiftwind was in the case and a guy walked up with his young son and opened the conversation with Toy Guru with "Hey Scott, is Pixel Dan around? My son loves him!" Scott looked a flustered as was like "[Dan's not a Mattle employee, I don't know where he is.]"

It was hilarious to me because Scott was getting all this attention for the awesome new figures and this guy was like hey Scott, Dan's the real Superstar around here.

Anyway if you're the dad, no disrespect meant. It was just funny to me

Thank you Dan and Toy Guru this was awesome. So excited about so much of this stuff.

So TP He-Man will have a fist and maybe an energy bolt/blast awesome. Love the idea for Photog's head.

So cool that Draego Man is an Evil Warrior really hope we get Goat Man, Icer, Fang Man, and Strong Arm to fill out Skeletor's ranks.

I'm calling Lord Dactys showing up next year which would be awesome.

I know love the Wind Raider and Swift Wind even more than before.

I love the hint that 2012 will be AWESOME.

Also I'm so excited for the mini comics i saw on page one the return of Randor and Miro. Hopefully Miro is coming soon.

Also the idea of the ultimate battle is so exciting I'm just giddy over that idea. Seeing all the Masters, evil Warriors, the Horde, Snakmen, Rebellion, Galactic Protectors, Space Mutants, and the 200X characters with the newly acquired rights to Filmation/ Jetlag and Ladybird that battle will be something to be seen. Hopefully Photog and Draego man and the other new characters will be included in it as well.

Thanks for the video Dan! Toyguru was destroying figures left and right!

I can't wait for Thunder Punch He-Man now. Shoryuken!!!

Battleground Evil-Lyn is a great figure. While I would still like her with her own unique purple leotard and skirt one day, that video made the existing figure a little more reassuring. I can't wait to get her.

Bubble Power She-Ra...her head comes off like normal?!! SOLD even more now since I don't have to worry about putting her head on once anymore. I did not realize that she has a gold cape! The customizations I can do with Both She-Ra figures has me very excited.

The Wind Raider stand is awesome! The WR is so big!!! I love the winch!

As for Fisto, I've BEEN asked TG about having normal heads with 200X headgear for guys like Grizzlor (Classic head, yellow headgear) and Sy-Klone (Classic face, Anwat Gar helmet).

Still a little bummed about Filmation Swifty not turning into a real Filmation Spirit.

Great interview Dan. Many thanks to you, to Scott and to who ever was shooting the video.
However, I'm a little disappointed to know that the new original Characters (Like Draego) will have only a one time release, so if we missed on them we're basically screwed! I hope they make enough of each to meet the high demand, since none are part of the 2012 club subscription.
