Filmation Teela head before a variant release

I think it's safe to say that this is one of the most desired Filmation looks of the line. It is the most important to me anyway. Teela was my first crush as a child, and I'd like a figure that actually looks like the cartoon. The way Filmation drew female faces was unparalleled at the time. I want that face, and I want that hair style.

I don't particularly want a Teela variant, but would greatly appreciate an extra head to come with a figure that demands less tooling perhaps.

I'm sure we can count on not seeing this likeness until a variant of Teela is released, but here's hoping!

I can understand that. As an adult I can see the beauty in her Filmation character. I didn't like her hair being up, when I was a kid, and that is one change I liked in the 2000x line. My problem with the 2000x version of Teela is that to me she seemed to have an attitude problem in the cartoon.

But, yeah, I could see some support behind a Filmation Teela head. Although what I really want -- I know, all about me, right? -- from the Filmation license is a Filmation Skeletor!

I sympathise - but I always thought Evil-Lyn was hotter than Teela.

I mean, just look at those large, dark eyes & delicious, full lips!

In general I don't want FLIMation variants but Teela is the one I'd happily buy. But I don't just want a head I want the whole figure modeled after the cartoon. Right down to the high heels, I really don't like that the 4H have shortened all the heels on the POP girls so far. I might be in the minority here but I like female action figures with heels.

I'd need a whole new sculpt/new leotard to give her that great Filmation shapely body. Just the head would be a bit of a let down.

I would go for that if they actually make the whole thing Filmation. I asume though, that they would state the explanation of, "Classics style is reuse of parts!"

The problem is, Filmation versions of all characters that have already been made would be too much in my opinion. Hordak and Evil-Lynn, maybe Skeletor, are the only ones I can think of that I'd want them to do. Teela taking the very top spot in that regard.

Reboot that is an awesome idea! As long as she has heels like in Filmation.

16 year old MYP Teela is too small to be 19 year old Filmation Teela.

I'd get Filmation Teela, but I'm honestly more interested in a blonde head with a pony tail like in the first mini comic, that's my favorite look for the character.
When it comes to She-ra Princess of Power characters, FILMATION is the way to go!.

    Teens Are Short, huh?

That's pretty much a fallacy - post-16 growth spurts are rare, even more so in girls. And, post-BGEL, you REALLY think they'll do a tween-sized female buck?

I wouldn't waste sculpting budget on a head that already looks like the original head. If anything, I would prefer BG Teela's head from blonde to red.

no, thank you. The filmation, 200X and NA look are retired. They need to look like a motu classics figure.

I would LOVE a Filmation accurate Teela. Filmation style heads of all the principle cast of heroes would be a dream come true.

I like that cartoon example (posted a few posts above) where you can switch Filmation Teela for 200X Teela. Looks great to me!

Without making it all cartoony and not fitting in with the line, I can't see how they could make the fillumation head that much different to what we have already.

You can't see a difference of substance, not just style, between these?

The tiara is differently shaped and worn much further forward on the head, hairstyle's more of a beehive than a ponytail (covering the ears vs. not covering them, no rat-tail sticking out at the back), eyes and eyebrows are differently shaped...

And it isn't as if the 4H can't manage a Filmation likeness if they try - look at Adora!

Mattel would have paid for BGEL's 200X tunic, but according to them the 4H decided to reuse the obsolete non-turning Teela buck instead. So it isn't a case of that they wouldn't do it.

Mattel has mentioned making a teen Adam plenty of times. It would be an epic fail if Mattel wastes their limited tooling budget making a grown up version, again missing the point. They could reuse a MYP Teela teen female buck for Evil-Lyn and Adora, just like MYP Adam's male teen buck could be re-used for Caz.

Yeah, ok, not really. Tiny little differences in Hair? A Tiara sitting a millimeter further back or forward? Really? Nope can't see how it warrants it - sorry.

It's a cool idea, but I doubt they'd do it exactly that way. Unless you eliminate all torso articulation, a much more likely way to get it to actually work would be two alternate dresses like they did with Marlena.

But yeah, I'd happily buy a Filmation/MYP Teela 2in1 pak!

Yet that is exactly what I fear they will do, and lay the blame on the 4H.

Yeah, I realised I'd overcomplicated after the fact - mostly because I forgot BP She-Ra, Sorceress and the Star Sisters all had splits in their outfits for waist twists! That makes things simpler:

I think a 200x version would be more on the front running list of variants to get made before a filmation version. Filmation never had a toy version...200x did
