    Rest in peace: Lou Scheimer

I'm posting this here, as Lou eclipses all parts of MOTU and POP. Jon Kallis just let me know that the Toon Museum posted the unfortunate news that Lou has passed away.

This is... this is really horrible. I have no way to describe how devastating this is to lose a man who brought so many of us so much joy growing up.

There aren't words to sum up how much he will be missed.

Posted my thread the same time as Val. Please close it as Val's thread should be the one we all go to to offer our condolences and talk about Lou's achievements.

A very sad day. A one of a kind, for sure, and responsible for so many happy memories for so many of us, and so many other people.

Horrible news! Even though I'm german and had far less exposure to the cartoon, it still was a big part of my MotU-mythos as a kid. His name was always connected to He-man in my mind. He will be sorely missed.

Rest in piece, Lou! May you have the Power!

This is definitely very sad! A huge part of what shaped my childhood and my life thereafter was the work that he did. I wish I had gotten the chance to meet him at a convention, but I am grateful for everything that he did and worked on. RIP Lou.

Rest in peace, Lou Scheimer. Without your cartoons to greet me as I came in the door after school, my childhood would have been an emptier place.
