She-Ra is one of our properties and i really want to reboot it somehow. Movie? Series? Animated? I need to brainstorm this ****...

@AirUhCa She-Ra is one the brands the media company where I work owns. I wanted to do a movie last year for her 25th birthday...

@AirUhCa he-man is also one of mine! Cartoon Network is getting the new Thundercats this summer, and i'm launching Voltron in April on Nick!

I think I'll try and do a proof of concept She-Ra video. Get some peeps together, get some ideas, get some footage and music.

    May 12

She-Ra is a go. Now to engage writers to tosh ideas...

Blake Lively as Princess of Power?

    June 7

@DTromel Please keep us She-Ra fans updated on whatever developments may transpire in LA...lol

@JimTallstar Sure will Jim Let's say I'm talking to some exciting writers....

So not a lot to go on.
Yeah Tallstar will get it together to flesh it out some, basically it goes like this

Shortly before Classic Media announced they reached an agreement to license MOTU stuff the guy on Twitter started inquiring about whether people would want to see She-Ra/they had interest in reviving She-Ra.

He is the creative head at Classic Media, his job is to get new shows off the ground and he was one who worked on getting Voltron Force off the ground. Its not rumors he is completely 100% legit and has been interfacing with Tallstar for a number of weeks now. He also joined the org or at least reads the threads here.

His tweets basically gave us the insight that Filmation rights were with Mattel, after SDCC these are his newest tweets. There had been some hope something would be ready to be shown at SDCC but that did not seem to happen.

I did take a look at the Damien Tromel's twitter, though I didn't see any more info. Anyway, can't wait to see where this all leads.

I think this is possible, I don't think the agreement between Mattel and classic media is only for motuc line , there must be something bigger behind it.

Hopefully it will be done well and catch on with the Xena and Buffy crowd. I just hope it is it's own thing not set on earth or to Smallvillish. Legend of the Seeker is a good example of how an off world setting could work, Xena as well. But the character development buffy got. There is soooooo much potential to tell She-Ra's story in this kind of format in a real kick arse way. Hopefully we will see some concept art soon.
PRO CLASSIC POP TOY DESIGN ELEMENTS BEING USED IN MOTUC TO COMPLEMENT THE FILMATION DESIGNS!!!!

Legend of the Seeker-like would be awesome! Beautiful and epic. From the people of Xena.

The Legend of the Seeker was fantastic.

It would be great to see a similar approach taken to adapting She-Ra to live action - particularly the blend of comedy and drama in season 2 of LOTS. Actually, Tabrett Bethell for She-Ra? Or Jessica Marais?

Never heard of either of those actresses, but after a quick google search either of them look like they could pull of She-Ra quite well!! This is exciting!

I'm guessing they would use a regular horse for close ups and a CGI version for the flying scenes.

The world of Etheria itself would be more of a challenge, but not impossible. They could digitally recolour a regular forest blue and pink for the Whispering Woods, and use some elaborate sets for the inside of the Fright Zone, with CGI establishing shots for the exterior.

Is it real? They are planning a new She-ra serie? It would be awesome!!

Is this person from Twitter a employee from Classic Media?

Why do you think it's a live action serie?

Indeed. Plus, it's more Earth like than Eternia.
Though don't forget that the sky will need to be recolored too (which'll be a piece of cake).

I do not see why anything needs to be colorized at all. A live-action series does not necessarily need to look like the cartoon.

No, it doesn't have to be identical to Filmation, but I think making it look as different from our world as possible is a good idea.

Etheria should look like a magical planet, and viewers should be able to see immediately that the show is not set on Earth.

So that Etheria wouldn't look exactly like Earth.
