    Superhero Name Change

They even included He-Man and Skeletor.

A Nottingham pair are expected to enter record books after changing their names in honor of their favorite superheroes.

Friends Kelvin Borbidge, 22, and 23-year-old Daniel Knox-Hewson drew inspiration from their mutual love of science fiction, comic books and gaming to come up with their new monikers, which are thought to be the longest in the world.

Borbidge will now be known as Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.

Knox-Hewson, however, plumped for the equally inventive Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman HeMan Batman Thrash.

"We decided to change our names because we were bored of our day-to-day lives and wanted to do something that reflected our true personalities," Emperor Thrash explained.

Baron Grind added: "The look on my area manager's face when he asked why my till now said 'Baron' was priceless.

"At this moment in time, I am looking forward to changing my name on my bank card. I wonder how they will fit it all on?"

The pair spent just £10 each to acquire their new names through the Legal Deed Poll service, Sky News reports.

George Garratt formerly held the record for the UK's longest name, choosing in 2008 to become known as Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined.

But Spider-Man and He-Man are mispelled, they should be hyphenated.

Without the hyphen He-Man becomes Heman, which is a Jewish/Hebrew name meaning Faithful

Two guys change their names to "He-Man" & "Skeletor". Sort of.

This isn't exactly MOTUC stuff, but not sure where to put this "news" (it's old, too, but I only just heard of it). Anyways:

In December 2011, two English men from Nottingham changed their names by Deed Poll to consist of 15 superhero names each.

Daniel Knox-Hewson, 23, became Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman Heman Batman Thrash.

Kelvin Borbidge, 22, chose Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.

Wow-either they're best pals... Or bitter enemies!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Well, with names like Daniel and Kelvin I can understand wanting to change their names...

I think they are the two guys from the old NES game Skate or Die. Pretty obscure reference.
