See I told all of you guys the Big 10 makes no sense

Don't give up yet Jack, with Iowa's win and Michigan's loss it leaves just 1 Michigan State loss to make it a 4 way tie at the top of the division. Don't be surprised if they lose next week to Iowa or at the end of the season to Northwestern

And Michigan State barely escaped Minnesota...again the Big 10 being insane to predict.

Thanks, but that's small consolation. The Blackshirts just never showed up. We were ranked tenth and embarrassed ourselves. There's a great deal of work to be done. Very humbling.

Twice now that has happened, maybe they will learn from this but the coaching all season has been suspect so things need to be changed at all levels imho

Only one team can win the national championship. I don't think major changes need to be done unless they lose their final 3 games. I thought 8-4 before the season started. They are a young team.

I know the game is not over yet but wow at the fieldgoalpalooza that is going on

I chuckled at this, Sportswriter Michael Wilbon tweeted

And the Kansas State game was amazing, anyone who watched LSU/Alabama missed out on a knock down drag out fistfight that literally went into the final second and KSU had 2 chances to take it to OT!

Oklahoma State is going to have the hardest time of the undefeated teams that remain, I don't think they will make it to the end

Honestly I want us to take on Boise State, but not in the title game becauae they have ayed on team worth squat. Wilbon always says what he can to stir the pot. Watch his show, his arguments are always infamitory.

I know, I just thought it was funny and obviously meant to troll people

With that said the LSU/Bama game sucked horribly bad, how do you (Alabama) get to be ranked in the top 2 and botch that many field goals and then throw ill advised passes instead of just running the ball (smh)

The fact Georgia is now in the lead of their side of the SEC its going to boost Boise State a bit in the computers just like Stanford is going to take a hit from ASU losing to unranked UCLA

That is unless Boise loses which right now they are fighting it out with UNLV.....that is just sad to type lol

Most people overlook the importance of special teams. It was noted that Bama came up short in special teams stats. Also Bamas running game averaged 3 yards per carry. It wasnt as successful as it appeared. Lsu averaged 6 yards per carry. Neither team rushed more than 90 yards. It was the two best defenses in the country pounding the sense out of easy other. Literally.

I am guessing the Top 5 tomorrow will be

    LSU
    Oklahoma State
    Alabama
    Boise State
    Stanford

Boise and Stanford could flip but I am pretty sure the of the Top 3

With LSU and Alabama's punting/field goal exhibition in the books...

Schedules of the 5 undefeated teams:

Stanford - vs OR, vs Cal, vs Notre Dame
Oregon next week! Would face USC/ASU/UCLA (all tied at 4-2) in the conference title game.
Boise State - vs TCU, @ SD St, vs Wyoming, vs NM
TCU next week! They're the big one left on the schedule.
Houston - @ Tulane, vs SMU, @ Tulsa
SMU's the big one left on the schedule.
Oklahoma State - @ TX Tech, @ ISU, vs OK
Two potentially tough road games, then Oklahoma to finish the season. No conference title game.
LSU - vs W. KY, @ Ole Miss, vs Arkansas
Probably faces UGA (didn't Boise State beat them already?) or USC in conference title game. Win and they're likely in the national title game.

Alambama shouldn't be ranked ahead of most one loss teams because they simplyost at home. Listening to some ap voters they feel much the same way. They don't want to give Bama an opportunity to rematch. Had they lost to lsu at tiger stadium that would be a different song and dance.

That game was awesome. In the SEC, we like Defense. Nothing beats the top 2 Defenses in the nation slugging it out. Oklahoma St. and their 110th ranked Defense do not excite me. Geaux Tigers.

I love the claim that SEC loves Defense but yet a majority of the SEC games i have watched over the years go into multiple overtimes and the scores are ridiculously high.

Had Alabama not shanked 3 of their field goals the way they did that game would not have been a "defensive" showdown. Oregon and West Virginia do not have better offenses then Alabama and yet they hung more points on LSU then Alabama did.

It was just pathetic special teams play on the Tides part. LSU blocked 1 field goal, THAT was defense.

Having endured the triple humiliation of Nebraska's loss and my incorrect calls on Bama and Texas A&M, I will take to heart what General Douglas MacArthur once said: "Old soldiers never die; they simply fade away."

And so, for a time at least, this old soldier will fade away from this thread, feeling his past boasting makes him unworthy to post here. Perhaps after my wounds have sufficintly healed, I'll be able to return before the end of the season.

    In the meantime, have fun.

You don't have to go Jack, christ is being right was a requisite to comment in College Football nobody would post here and ESPN would have no employees

I find it humorous that despite LSU winning many people are trying to discredit th victory. What really gets me wanting completely double over and laugh is that many people wanted Bama to win that game: Why on Earth would anyone want Bama to have a shot at their 13th title. If people are dead set against everything the SEC represents then Bama is the embodiment of that.

Can Alabama even play in the BCS title game against LSU or is it still against the rules to allow two teams from the same conference to be selected? I hope that is the case because I really don't want to see a rematch. Sure they may be the second best team in the country, but they had their chance at home and didn't look very good in losing even if it was a close game. Someone else needs to get a a shot even if that's an undefeated Boise State. This BCS system really drives me bonkers sometimes and I wish they would just revert to a playoff.

I agree with everything you said. Even if LSU loses and two other teams remain undefeated, it should be them going in. And I'm saying that as a lsu season ticket holder. I'm not beyond my fandom to see things as they should be. Im really unhappy abOut Bama staying so high; had LSU lost do you think they would revise the same charity Bama did from the voters and computers. I simply don't understand the fascination with Bama.

Agreed, I heard on ESPN Radio today one of the sports writers say nobody outside Alabama fans wants to see a rematch. He made a valid point that it would prove nothing, if Alabama beat LSU on a neutral field it would just even them at 1-1 and LSU would still have the more impressive victory having won on the road.

Saw this and it made me chuckle

Of course Pac 12 country hated it and the SEC country loved it, while the rest of us though it was a good but boring ass game
