Honestly, I just don't like the new thundercats figures t all (though I do like the dual scale idea). Of course, I've alway disliked thundercats, so that may not mean much...
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!

Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?

    There's nothing Lion-O could do.

Does no one remember that Lion-O is a child in a man's body? With no real phsyical powers? Vs a man that can lift 100 tons. Not that Lion-O isn't cool, there's just no contest.

Umm, if your going by the FILMATION He-Man he is also a boy/teen in a mans body named Adam. Adam hangs with his uncle and old snaggletooth cats, so his got that working against him too.

The real question is Tiagra vs Catra.

Only thing Lion-O has over He-Man is that he can have Catra

He-Man, of course. He's insanely powerful, even in his more tame incarnations where he's not punching asteroids into pieces.

Nothing against Lion-O. His journey to become a great leader and warrior is a big part of his character that makes him interesting in a different way. In Lion-O's defense, he did defeat all of his teammates and their crazy super powers during his trials to become the true leader of the Thundercats, so he can probably take down any cat-person you toss his way.

I don't really know much about Lion-O (my brother is the Thundercats fan) but He-Man has performed some pretty amazing feats of strength...like pulling the two halves of Eternia back together after Hordak split the planet, or punching through two feet of plate steel like it was paper.

To my knowledge, Lion-O hasn't done anything on that level.

So, in my biased opinion, He-Man flattens him.

Well if you're talkin' straight-up toys, then I'd say He-Man's sword will cut straight through Lion-O's floppy flop sword. That's pretty much the only reason I can't bring myself to buy Lion-O, no matter how much I want the figure.

He-Man wins, but Lion-O gives him a fight. I don't see any problem with the scale between the two. Has anybody ever came out and said the Thunder Cats were the same size as humans/ Eternians? Aren't lions and tigers massive compred to people? So wouldn't a big cat humanoid be bigger? Just my opinion though. Awesome pics by the way.

He-Man's sword is pretty bendy in it's own right.

I'm digging the new Thundercats classic figures but I don't understand how Bandai could construct that sword so poorly and why they couldn't make the ankle and wrist joint pins the same color as the surrounding parts rather than flesh colored. They stick out like a soar thumb. I actually bought the SDCC Lion-O just for his accessories which are so much better, and will be selling the figure along with the floppy version of his sword of Omens.

I win, because I end up with highly detailed and decently articulated action figures of two of my favorite characters!

I think it would be an epic battle on both sides and then in the end they'd call it a draw after seeing through any dark magic that made them perceive each other as enemies and they'd go off to have a beer together.

It was the deal breaker for me. Thundercats Classics lost me because of the bigger size. Sad because had they kept it in the same scale as masters I would have gotten a 3rd job to buy dooubles of the entire Thundercats Classics line.

Lion-O wins! He's bigger! Plus he had to defeat all his comrades (in their own respective speciality) and his arch nemesis to become Lord of the Thundercats. What did He-Man do to deserve his position? He received the Power Sword from the Sorceress. Strange women dressed in bird outfits guarding castles distributing swords and harnesses is no basis for a system of heroism.

In a fist fight ? He-Man due to brute strength.

In a sword fight? Lion-O. The power sword doesnt do anything besides transform him and to be honest, there really wasnt much the sword of omens couldnt do in the original.

    He-Man gets the win.

Lion-O is no match for the power and strength of He-Man.

Hordak kidnapped Adora "over 20 years ago" and Teela has commented that she and Adam are "both grown". I'm assuming He-Man is at least drinking age. He's plenty wise enough to overpower the child Lion-O is, phsically and mentally.

Tigra vs. Catra. Tigra has way more skills. Catra suffers from the "I'm a vain, arrogant, mean, 80's cartoon villianess, thus, I will always lose to a hero" stigma.
