The rate the video game soundtrack thread of WTH is that noise?

Seeing how many of us spend countless hours looking at pixels, and pressing buttons I thought it might be fun to make a thread to share all of the classic chiptunes, and songs that have accompanied our gaming experiences along our journey to curmudgeonism.

Simply listen (Or suffer) then post your score (Out of ten) and post a new tune for the next to rate.

The only rule is it has to be from the actual game. Not a recreation or cover.

I'll start with this little gem from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. As Markatisu once said "Fear the octopus!!!"

    The Deviot
    -------------------------
"No matter how hot you think they are, Someone. Somewhere. Is tired of their crap."

    -?

6 / 10. It was almost catchy but some little things, like the constant beeps made it a tad annoying

from the first level of Sonic Adventure 2 entitle City Escape

and yes this is the exact song that is playing as you snowboard and run through the streets of the city

    9/10 I'm a sucker for 8-bit music...

While I may have been disappointed in the game, my nostalgia sense got a tingling when I heard this theme on the game...
FINALLY!! GLIMMER IS IN MY SHELF!! Now I need a Crita!! Crita is to Mara what Evil Lyn is to Teela. If we ARE getting Mara, then we NEED Crita.

4/10 DO4M, that tune sounds like something that could have been in my favorite game series, TEKKEN. i can hear bones being broken to that.

character select from TEKKEN 6, when this is on i know i'm just seconds away from bustin fools.

6/10, not bad, but the sounds seem a little strange. Is that smacking sound supposed to be the drums? Probably would like it more if I had played the game; nostalgia does wonders!

Now for a classic, which will probably annoy most!

8/10. Love Dragon Warrior and 8 bit music in general. Also a fan of simple but effective music to set a tone, such as...

    Diablo - Tristram Villiage

Oh heck yeah! 9/10! Only missing a point because that game is full of great music, and there are many songs that I like even better.

Now lets rub some funk on this thread!

Which song from Ninja Gaiden are we rating here? I think you need to pick just one.

Ninja Gaiden as a whole had some good music. Not my favorites, but definitely pretty well done, although some are really too repetitive.

    On average, I'd give it a 6/10

    Now for my all-time favorite:

Ah yes, this one I can say is a great song regardless of nostalgia. I have never played the game, but it's such a cool song! 10/10; nothing wrong with it at all.

Another classic, and one of my all time favorite games and songs.

6/10 because I thought that game was the bomb as a kid.

Can't believe the thread is this long and no one's posted this:

HA! 100/10, what can I say? This will always be one of the ultimate adventure songs.

Here's a new one from the recent Scott Pilgrim game. FANTASTIC soundtrack, if I do say so myself. This is one of my favorites from it.

    I'd give a 4/10 for the TMNT.

Personally, this is still one of the best soundtracks for any video game

MK2 6/10. Fun game but music never did anything for me

However this 8-bit gem always got atmospheric music done right.
    Even the opening theme:

    The Deviot
    -------------------------
"No matter how hot you think they are, Someone. Somewhere. Is tired of their crap."

    -?

Good moody music at the start trying to invoke dread before what sounds like a bit of frightful but hopeful adventure music that kicks in over the top later on, or something like that, haha

    Not bad, 7 and a 1/2/10

10/10, AWESOME SOUNDTRACK. 'Course this is one of my favorite songs as well, so I gotta give it top score!

Next, a high energy song from Metal Saga, the boss song for a battle with a wanted criminal. LOVE THIS ONE.

6/10, I probably would like it more with nostalgia behind it, but it ain't bad.

Another classic: The battle with the Four Fiends in Final Fantasy 4! An old favorite, and quite epic if I do say so myself.
