Congrats to HG for performing tremendously in the DVD market and to you for rubbing my face in it.

It's not the first time I've been wrong and it certainly won't be the last. I still maintain I was underwhelmed by a film that borrowed so heavily from so many other books and films and had characters in it that I didn't care about. But that's me. Younger people often are not saddled with having read a great deal of novels or knowing about films from the past, so they are less likely to understand the meaning of the word 'pastiche' and are more easily impressed.

Besides Battle Royale and Running Man, does this movie also remind anyone of Death Race 2000 and the Australian sci-fi blood-bath Escape 2000 aka TurkeyShoot?
