Imp and....?

I want that little Imp in MOTUC.

Since he's small, it's doubtful that he'll be released on his own card.

I'd guess he might be an SDCC exclusive with Filmation colors Hordak. Either that, or maybe he'll come as a regular release packed in with Scorpia.

I have a feeling he'll show up somewhere in the line. What do you guys think?

I think that when Imp is released, he MUST be articulated ! I don't want static, Cringer-like figures anymore !

Imp can be released on his own, or with ANY character you want. Just make him articulated and show-accurate, with good quality. That's all I ask, personally.

I think Filmation colors Hordak would make good business sense with people that really dont want another variant still buying him to get Imp. But I think a variant is too stale for SDCC (personally I LOVE the sugestion of Razz, Kowl & Light Hope dio as the next SDCC exclusive)

Back to Imp, I think Scorpia will do well on her own and her articulated tail will be an accessory in itself so I don't see him coming with her. I'd put Imp, Kowl, Kowl and Dree-El in with figures that might not be as huge of sellers without them (like Perfuma, Double Trouble, even Entrapta or Rotar & Twistoid)

What about a variant that's not a repaint, but has some new tooling. Say a Force Captain Adora or something? Oh, or Horde Trooper Armor He-Man from SoTS?

I'm thinking like you, that if we get him he'll come packed in with someone like Scorpia or Hordak. My guess would be blue Hordak to entice more people to buy a another variant of him. One way or another, I definitely want him.

Filmation/Blue Hordak would be the best thing to pack Imp in with imo!

If he comes with a "FILMation style" Hordak, I'd hope that Hordak is more than just a repaint. He'd need to have SOME new tooling for me to want to buy the pack, not just the inclusion of Imp. I'd rather see him packed with someone like Scorpia as you suggested.

As for the worries about him being static a la Cringer…I don't think we have to worry about that. Look at Orko.

I'd want Imp with a blue Filmation style Hordak - who could come with newly tooled armor, so that the sides are open, but connected with white bones like it was in the cartoon. Hordak could also come with either his Filmation arm cannon or robotic arm that he used a lot. With all that and Imp, how could anyone say it wasn't a value for your money?

Actually, I'd be more concerned that if they did Filmation Hordak properly, he'd have so much in the way of weaponry he wouldn't have the budget for Imp!

I'm thinking he'll come as a future SDCC exclusive as part of a Hordak & Imp 2-Pack, featuring Hordak in Filmation colors and cartoon-accurate armor/boots/arm cannon/etc, with some swappable parts- as well as Imp having a transformation or two packed in also.

I'd assume that this is the way that they are going to go (only no Dree-Elle) for an exclusive one of these SDCCs. They can wipe out ALL of the MOTU/POP/MYP/Filmation sidekicks in one go, without having to pack them in with figures.

Based on that pack's success, they can do the NA sidekicks after that in a following year.

Imp can definitely go in a few directions, really. I would love for him to come with Scorpia, but I think she may be too popular in her own right. However Hordak in blue may be a better target, or having him with Catra's cat form or something. But there are tons of options for him:

Imp single carded with 4 or 5 of "transformations" as accessories
Imp with blue Hordak - safest bet and makes the most sense
Imp with Kowl & Loo-Kee
Imp with Catra's cat-form (Catra fully articulated and shared w/ full-sized Cringer)

I think it would be hilarious if Imp's transformations became the "comb-wepaons" of the extended Horde. Scorpia's coming with Imp shaped as the Hordak/Leech/Mantenna/Grizzlor crossbow, and other weapons for Dragstor, Mosquitor, Modulok, Multi-Bot, Dylamug, Octavia, Vultak, etc. would be fun.
