Lizard Man Support Thread

Well, if I were ever to start a thread about anything - this would be the logical choice, right?

LM usually seems fairly high on Filmation character wishlists. How much support is out there for our favorite squeaky-voiced, energy bolt dodging hero? And perhaps "Battleground Lizard Man" in red color?

I give you my support for Lizard Man ! I'd really like to get him as a MOTUC figure !

I'd prefer him to be green.

I hope we'll see him revealed very soon...

I read somewhere here that TG confirmed Lizard Man will be released soon.
I still think he will be the SDCC exclusive ! Maybe the green version at the Con and the brown/red one a few days later, at the Matty...

Lizard Man as a con exclusive would anger a lot of people. Shadow Weaver is already the sub figure. I highly doubt the second Filmation figure would be hard to get as well.

I did not said I want two LM; I only said it is possible since we had 2 He-Ros, 2 Orkos and 2 Marlenas...

Mattel has a schedule and TG always says it's very difficult change something.
So, a new (not necessary the next) Filmation character could be an exclusive figure.

Color change Lizard Man! That's an awesome idea! Not to mention it would settle the red vs. green continuity question once and for all.

I did not know there was a red Lizard-Man. I do however, keep the hope alive that I'll get a green one to display with my Heroic Warriors. They need more non human members.

Love the color change option. Green to grey, not sure how that works but if they could do it that would be often. Have no idea what sort of accessory he should come with though, none of the epsiodes he is in reveal anything to use.

I'm pretty sure the 4H can come up with something appropriate given the chance. When have they ever failed?

As for Lizard Man himself, do you think they'd use the armorless Whiplash/Buzz-Off/Clawful buck?

Personally I think you'd have to do a new sculpt/buck in order to really do Lizard Man justice. He was always portrayed as lean and lanky.

I want a lizard Man of course. I dont know how he'll look on the existing buck, but I want him like that to fit in with the rest.

Lizard Man!!!

He's awesome, but will require a new buck.

But since there are other "skinny" male characters, I suspect that when one comes along we will soon see Lizard Man behind him. Heck, he could be first as he's such a popular and little known character!

Exactly! I think if you look at Orko and (more recently) Shadow Weaver, there seems to be willingness to depart from the standard bucks when it makes sense for the character.

On the SDCC PowerPoint presentation this year, Lizard Man was one of the clip art images on the "Filmation Rights Obtained" announcement slide. So while that alone doesn't guarantee a touchdown, at least it suggests he's getting looks.

I can't believe this thread escaped me!

I love Lizard Man; I hope he's one of the first Filmation figures we get. I wonder if he'll be made with a standard buck or a new thinner one? A 200X Adam could use some of the skinnier pieces....

would really love this guy. the colors & the sculpt. buck & body would need to be slimmer though.

I'm also down for this guy. I tend to agree that he would need a new base body, I have a hard time imagining the character on the standard one.

Yep---I think a new buck is needed --but if I get Granamyr and LizardMan in 2012 I could retire a happy man.
