Nope it was free, he signed whatever. I think if you bought a print from him there was a charge but VIP's got 2 free prints of his and others had mini-comics, etc.

Well most artists don't charge unless you are buying something from them.

The voice talent and actors usually charge but I was told in talking to several over the years its a union thing and they have to charge for it. I don't mind because normally when I pay I have long talks with them like with Larry Kenney or in the past with Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano from Clone Wars) or Edward James Olmos. The ones who don't charge usually have already had their appearance paid for so its kinda built in.

But I don't think I have ever paid for an artists autograph

that's true. i have had stuff signed in the past by artists and i would only pay for the merchandise i wanted signed. anyway, i'm hoping norem will be at the next power con along with william george and rudy obrero.

Even though I was supposed to be selling instead of buying this con, I still managed to walk away with a sweet haul!

The rundown: My pre-ordered Power & Honor book, show program, show shirt and show lapel pin, custom Filmation swords and Zodak head from Master English, He-Man shirt from the nice guy across from my booth, He-Man & Teela print by Busta Toons, Land Shark, Eternia and Battle Cat Hotwheels from Pete LeRose, Wizard Of Stone Mountain DVD, and King Of Castle Grayskull mini-comic with the word FREE on the front!

It's not my biggest haul ever, but this one was VERY MUCH about quality over quantity!!!

Board member and fellow local superheman saw that I was looking for one and brought his extra to the show for me and let it go for a cool $10, which I thought was an excellent deal!!!

Nice shirt Tanya. I'd be willing to bet you hold the .org record for most friend requests ever. Even though you've only been a member for a month...

Speaking of shirts, there were some nifty ones at Power Con. I had my eye on a groovy purple tee with He-Man & She-Ra, Filmation-style, only to find out they were all cut with lady arms! Argh!! What's the deal t-shirt people, why can She-Ra not be printed on a men's t-shirt in any capacity?? Guys think She-Ra's cool too!
