Bummer! What could have been! I love and hate posts like this! As much as I love the MOTUC I was super blown away by this 200x era, great designs!
They probably flip down

Bit off topic. What If We get someday Horde-Buster He-Man in Classics line? I don't see any problem with such variant.
I'd be up for a Horde Buster He-man.
have always though there should have been a he-man variant with horde-buster armor. cool to see something cool like it in motuc.
very cool to see dragstor! he is a big favorite. sad dragstor, extendar, spikor, blast attack & others never made it.
Hi all,
I just discovered afew days ago, this picture :
It seems to be a presentation from the Four Horsemen.
As you can see on it, there is pictures of some prototype versions of Mossman, Roboto, and a He-Man with a big shield!
Which versions of He-Man is it?
Snake Armor or Shield Strike He-Man?
If the Four Horsemen are here and see this message, your help would more than welcome
best regards

It's called Horde-Buster He-man.
The presentation was from the Four Horsemen at Power Con last year.
There's a thread about it here:

and here's is PixelDan's video of the panel:

I've only just caught up on this great thread. Really interesting. Although I'm sometimes a 200x critique (though love it on it's own merits), if nothing else it's fascinating to see just how the same characters can be reinterpreted.
I'm trying to make out who the character is on the second picture down on the article (above the M and the A on the Masters logo). I thought at first it might be Kobra Khan, but might actually be the more alien suggestion for Zodak (and I think I did see a sketch of this design posted somewhere a few years back).
On the weapons shot, on the lower right is the base section of what looks to me like... The Cosmic Key? Interesting!
Dragstor looks pretty cool; it's only a sketch but suprisingly, he looks fairly faithful to the vintage design - when I'd have predicted that he would've been one of the characters that they'd "extreme" up a lot more.
Horde Buster He-Man... let's be honest, 200x saw way too man variants, particularly of He-Man and Skeletor, but this concept looks better than some of the tat that actually did get released as a variant (I won't utter the words "Spin Blade", for example). Trying to make out his armor. It doesn't look full body as in Snake Armor style, but definitely not the standard harness. Looks like something going on around the collar area, too.
Also, as some of these figure prototypes seem to be pretty "complete", it's odd that they were'nt used as the base for the stactions? Or maybe powers higher up called the shots as to which remaining names were and weren't released? Who knows.
