Alrighty friends. This one has been a long time in coming (around 25 years or so), but I finally got the figure to use to make my MOTU/POG The Stranger!

Recipe:
He-Man figure (with repainted hair, wristbands, and boots along with painted-on mask)
Power Sword
Homemade cloth tunic with hood. The tunic also has a holster for his Sword so he can man both Bionatops lasers while riding.

I didn't make a belt for him because the original didn't have one in the mini-comic. Now my Bionatops has his rider to go against my King Hiss riding atop his Tryantisaurus Rex!

I am planing to make custom like that for my collection, but waiting to get nice hard head He-Man MALAYSIA (one of the worst looking variants :P) as a base since that's the last variant of the original He-Man. If POG were continued to produce and if they wanted to make “Preternia Disguise He-Man”, Malaysian figure probably would be used for it.

Thanks! I've been pondering for months on what to do about it. I'd seen people sculpt some from clay or plastic, but hadn't seen anyone make it out of cloth. Since I'm better at cloth than sclupting, I figured that was the way to go.

I saw someone else do a similar figure like this on the .Org a while back (I believe the figure was called Beastos or Beastor; something like that) and have been wanting to do my own version every since. Mine doesn't feature the red jetpack; instead I made a feathery chest harness to go over his feathers/fur much like the original mini-comics had. You'll note mine isn't just a Stratos head plopped into a Beast Man body (and changing out the bracelets for wings). I gave him Stratos' hands and feet as well (Beast Man's hands and feet had to go elsewhere for a future project), so had to find good paint to match the Beast Man orange for more than just his eyebrows and beard. ANYway, here is his bio followed by pics:

Evil Winged Warrior
Real Name: Falcos
Even though he is of the race of gray-feathered Avions, Falcos was born with an orange tint to his feathers and was seen as a sign of dark tidings to come. Being shunned by his own people, resentment grew in him and he was quick to anger towards those that hated him for his differences. When he reached adolescence he helped Keldor sneak into Avion in the hopes of stealing the Egg that gives Avions the power of flight. When the siege was vanquished and Falcos was found out, he was banished from Avion. This fueled his hatred towards his people, and he vowed to have revenge. Joining Keldor in his war to gain the Elders’ power, he hoped that he too would be granted enough power to make his revenge on the Avions. Soon after, though, they were banished behind the Mystic Wall following the last battle of the Great Unrest by Captain Randor and the Defenders of Eternia, until Keldor-turned-Skeletor found a way to free them and start their terrorizing once more, this time with the idea of conquering Castle Grayskull!



Also, I got tired of my Stratos (and now Falcos) not having any accessories (armor doesn't count), so I made him some lightening to shoot from his hands. The FILMation cartoon and I believe some of the books or mini-comics had Stratos with the ability to fire laser blasts from his hands, so I gave my Avion figures this ability as well. Flacos will display them for you here, but Stratos gets the right-hand lightening (yes, they're right-hand/left-hand designated).

There was also a movie Sword on the same site, so I bought one of those and painted it too. Turned out really nice (although I'm not sure who I will give it to just yet).

None that I recall right off, but that doesn't mean "no". Everytime I remember him being in close combat with someone, he used his bow to parry.

All these extra Vykron pieces and custom fodder...what to do? What to do?...Ah-HA! I know! The Berserkers! The little islands south of the Sands of Fire! They have to have people, don't they? Someone has to live there, don't they? No way an island itself can be "berserk", can it? Confirmation: Preternia map showing Berserker Castle. So there was a people that lived there and got thrown away thanks to that tin-canned pig-face (Hordak) and his blasted Spell of Separation! Well, got to re-create them then!

The Berserkers
Great Warriors of the Berserker Islands
Real Name: Varies
Descendants of those who once lived in the Berserker Castle during the reign of King Grayskull, after Hordak’s Spell of Separation, all that was left of their beloved land were a few shoddy islands. Nevertheless, being a hardy people and known for surviving in anything, they made this new spot their home. Honing their fighting skills, they became known to everyone on Eternia as dangerous men and women, even crazy choosing to shoot and ask questions later. They were also excellent farmers and grew their own food that fed the few thousand people living there. Few people ventured to the Berserker Islands and even fewer returned. Ships using the Harmony Sea gave a wide berth to the Islands. When Skeletor took over Eternos and He-Man and his friends were exiled, some of the Masters found their way to the Berserker Islands and plead with their leaders to aid them in their battle against the Evil Warriors. At first, their request was denied and the Masters were imprisoned for trespassing until Hssss’ troops landed and began an all-out onslaught against the people. Many men, women, and children were slain before the warriors could get to their weapons and armor, and the Masters asked to be freed to fight alongside the Berserkers. Seeing that they had no choice, the guards let the Masters free and true to their word, they fought back the Snake Men, leaving no survivors. The Berserker leaders quickly decided to grant the Masters’ request and sent a large group of their army to the mainland to fight against the reigning evil that sat on the throne.

And now, it's time for the clan of T-Force (a.k.a. Fuerza-T) to join my ranks! Unfortunately, I don't have all eight of them to show you yet (Platino and Shidoshi will have to wait until next Feb when/if Jitsu comes out). They've been sitting on my customizing/drawing/sewing/drafting table for months now, and I finally had the free time to get them done. So for the last week I've been part-swapping, painting, clear-coating, painting, and clear-coating again these figures until they're done. I'm pretty proud of them & hope you like what you see!

I didn't make bios for them as they already have bios from the Fuerza-T cardbacks. From left to right, top to bottom: Tekno, Carnivor, Felinor, Patano, Destructor, Titano.

Agreed! When I found out about these guys, I was hoping they'd appear in MOTUC. Since that's never gonna happen, I decided to go off the originals & what others have done to customized them.

And now, here are three customs of mine that have been sitting on my table a looooooong time. Partially because of lack of time, parts, and lack of idea on how to execute them, they have stood (in one way or another) on my drafting table waiting for me to finish them. But here they are now, ready to be shown. Two other figures also get some much-needed updates!

Firstly, here is my New Adventures Skeletor. Many of you will have probably seen my New Adventures He-Man I made a year or so ago (unless this is the first time you've seen my thread and/or skipped to the latest post after that). Well, he's been moved around time and again on my shelves, sometimes fighting Optikk, sometimes fighting Slushhead. I decided he needed his arch-nemesis to face-off with and now have him done! Thanks to fellow .Orger vertigoink who made the head, I had the crowning glory for my figure. So here he is with a new bio: New Adventures (or "Space Destroyer" as I like to title him) Skeletor!

Head: Skeletor face plate with alterations, Man-At-Arms helmet.
Torso & Cape: Keldor.

Biceps & Legs: Snake Man-At Arms.
Hands/Forearms: Mo-Larr.

New Adventures Skeletor
Evil Lord of Destruction
Real Name: Keldor of the House of Miro
After his defeat at the Second Ultimate Battleground, Skeletor had had enough. Most of his warriors were captured, destroyed, or banished, as were the Snake Men and the Horde he had just assumed control of after defeating Hordak in their final battle. Intercepting a distress call from beings claiming to be from the future, he pretended to be He-Man and told them to lay siege on Castle Grayskull. When the space ship arrived and began draining power, he called to them to whisk him away with them to their planet where he would have Grayskull’s power and an easily conquered planet. Prince Adam, who had been summoned to Grayskull and found he couldn’t change into He-Man, grappled with Skeletor as both were beamed aboard the ship. During the battle, Adam called upon the Powers of Grayskull and transformed in front of Skeletor. The evil Lord of Destruction was so close, his body received a severe electrical burn and he ran away in an escape pod, later fixing himself up with cybernetic parts. Now on Denebria with Flogg and his evil Mutants, Skeletor prepares for battle against He-Man and the planet Primus below.

(You'll notice that He-Man also got an upgrade in armor. Thanks to an extra Spector I had, he got something that looks much better than that homemade bandolier I had for him!)

And after New Adventures came He-Ro, Son of He-Man. Also one of my first custom figures, I made a Dare as He-Ro. Some people asked me then if I was going to give him long hair like was pictured in the series bible. Well, for those rabid fans, I say, I finally did! Hopefully you'll like how it turned out too. Ah, but Skeletor was much more difficult to make. He had these great plates of armor on him, spikes coming out of his shoulders, and this odd-looking staff that wasn't his Havoc Staff. After brainstorming and getting an extra King Hssss, I was able to make the torso how I wanted. Oh, and his new staff, well, this is more or less what it looked like in the series bible. Taking some liberties by incorporating his old armor elements into the new look, I finally completed my Son of He-Man Skeletor! Here he is along with a new bio.

Son of He-Man Skeletor
Evil Lord of Destruction
Real Name: Keldor of the House of Miro
Years after being banished by He-Man from Primus along with his female companion, Creta, Skeletor was able to return to Eternia, taking with him many refugee Mutants that were against the peace treaty signed by Flogg and Master Sebrian. Losing his Havoc Staff on Primus when he was locked in the Shuttle Pod with Creta, his magic sought out and found another staff just as powerful, tall with wrapping vines around it and topped with a black crystal that shot black lightening and cast all forms of dark magic for its wielder. Using this newfound magic, he was able to retrieve his Havoc Staff from where it was hidden and the two staves merged with each other, doubling Skeletor’s power! His armor became muti-plated and his strength increased twofold. He fought with the Masters once again until the Sorceress and He-Man were able to freeze him in ice. Nearly a decade and a half went by before Skeletor was able to free himself and regrouped his evil warriors—new and old—in a plot to battle the Masters to their death and control Eternia once and for all. Unbeknownst to Skeletor, he now had a new nemesis to deal with besides He-Man. A hero named…He-Ro!


And a while ago, I saw Son of Keldor make a custom blue Merman kitty head for his TRU figure. After aquiring an extra myself, I have finally made my own. Thanks SoK for the great idea!

Half the fun in making the figure is writing the bio. Let's the creative juices flow, which then can get incorporated into the figures themselves. If I had to pick a favorite from them, I'd probably have to go with Dare or Scal-Por myself. Luckily, I don't have to.

Guess I'm on a roll right now with my free time & customs fodder. Here goes...FILMation Hordak! A simple parts-swap, he uses Keldor's body, Hordak's head, helmet (detaching the cape was fun), boots, loincloth, and crossbow, and a homemade arm cannon that fits over his hand. And, as it goes with my customs, here's his new bio:

Ruthless Leader of the Evil Horde
Real Name: Hec-Tor Kur
After being banished to Despondos by King Grayskull when his spell backfired, Hordak decided that he needed to upgrade himself with technology. Adding blue armor over his arms and legs, he used Horde Science to alter his body so he could shape-shift. By doing this, he could turn parts or all of his body into various weapons or vehicles. His favorite forms are cannons on his arms, and full-bodied rocket or tank for traveling. He could hold these forms only so long as he concentrated on them, so a sonic blast or a great concussion could make him loose his concentration and return to normal. Using his scientific upgrades, he began relying more on his scientific self than his magical self, although unbeknownst to him, they were becoming more and more a blend than opposing sides. Together with his Horde warriors and new abilities, Hordak conquered Etheria and held the planet under their control until She-Ra appeared!
