That is one of the best figures to date . . . crazy enough.

Imagine how awesome Staghorn could potentially look.

    Perfect preview, Dan !

Thank you very much for showing that the legs articulations are OK and that the crotch piece is made of soft rubbery plastic, which allows decent movement.

It's cool to see how much they improved the sculpt of this guy compared to the vintage version ! The 4 Horsemen really made an awesome job with Icarius/Flipshot !

As a result, I'll buy this figure !

Flipshot just looks amazing. it's mind blowing seeing the comparison shots how good they made him look. I can't wait for him to get here.

Flipshot is the best MOTUC figure so far (in my opinion).

    - armour and undies = perfect softness
    - lots of accessories
    - lots of options for looks
    - lots of removable pieces (missiles and visor)
    - great update to the original toy (same design, just MOTUC-ized and 4H awesome-ified. )
    - no loose ankles
    - no articulation problems

    A+

This is THE perfect MOTUC figure! I hope more figures turn out as awesome as Flipshot has. This figure is SO exciting!

I recall someone who was returning from SDCC saying that in person, Icarius was the most impressive figure Mattel had on display.

I never envisioned picking up many N.A. figures but I'll be buying him next month. What we have here is a beautifully executed update as we transition into what is shaping up to be a stellar 2012.

Okay it's official. The Horsemen + Bill and Terry (the design team) are the best people working on toys right now and Icarius is the best example. The transformation from the original figure to MOTUC is phenomenal.

Wow, I can see I'm in the minority but I really don't like this figure. He looks like a big G.I. Joe from the early 90's. If he wasn't part of my sub I think I would pass on this guy. I'm still hopeful for future NA figures and I do like some of the improvements they've made on this figure (softer armour, no peg holes, etc.).

Crazy-excited about this figure! It makes me even more excited to see what the 4H can do with characters like Hydron or Kayo.

If this were any other place, I don't think a declaration like that would go over very well.

I really liked the side-by-side shots at the end with Man-At-Arms; Flipshot looks like he's part of a big cohesive line... which he should! Also he's holding his spare head but not letting anyone else know about it... creepy! shhh...

Thanks Dan! Bring on more NA!

Great review, though Im surprised you didnt mention how the Vintage figures 'Switch' on his left arm has been incorporated into the design.

It looks great, and hints at what HH's dial should have been!

I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?

Ok, I never owned the original... so I had some questions about the new one. Like what was up with those arms? Why were they lined all the way EXCEPT the shoulders... that looked like bad parts reuse...

Then came comparison time, and it all made sense!

Also, the 'levers' on his bicep pieces... THAT is a very nice NOD to the original levers on the vintage figure. But don't stand out and look stupid. (glares at Hurricane Hordak)

They look like extra padding/future details on the space armor. Didn't even realize what they were till Comparison time!

I THINK if I was a NA fan, I might be annoyed at the 'flat top' Haircut... but I'm not, so it's cool to see some variety!

    Excellent job horsemen!!
