I LOVED Snout Spout as a kid. His action feature was one of the most fun, and I always found his look appropriate for the line (especially in the later days with Roboto and Sy-Klone) and rather endearing.

So I'm SO glad they went vintage with this figure, though I'd love a 200X rendition (maybe some New Adventures-era "upgrade" along with Roboto?) down the line.

But for now, it's hard to imagine them making the vintage version look cooler. The comparison is great to see how they really shaped the figure (especially the head) in such a way that he doesn't look nearly as goofy as the old figure.

Also, the jaws of life accessory is PERFECT. It's so cool there's an elephant head in there! I hadn't noticed before!

The button and plug WORK well on Snout Spout, BUT we don't need to see any more dials, levers or switches... Still not liking the head... it does look better than the vintage toy, but I kinda wish it was more like the Mini Comic or the Staction.
FINALLY!! GLIMMER IS IN MY SHELF!! Now I need a Crita!! Crita is to Mara what Evil Lyn is to Teela. If we ARE getting Mara, then we NEED Crita.

Lets face it, when trying to sell a figure with a face 'Apendage' like this, that moves and bends ya gotta show it.......and Dang it was funny!

add to that the 'Pulling' of the crotch Rubber....F U N N Y!!!!!!!!

    we were in tears!

(Yes! I admit I am a 'Wink Wink,Nudge Nudge' humor guy! I was raised on 'Carry On' films and 70's Britcoms!)

Seriously fantastic Job as always Dan, you made him look awesome...and entertained us who dont like him!!! 10 out of 10!!

I love how goofy he looks

Also, I laughed pretty hard when you were building up to that big concern you had with the trunk bending.... you were worried about the paint chipping when I was losing it thinking you were going to rip it in half You sir are more rough with your figures than I am lol (though I know you have to be for the review).

The MOTUC bucks really iron out the proportions, he looks 10x better than the vintage. (I always thought, even as an elephant mask, the head was way too big for the figure).

Neat thing going on with the jaws of life there, didn't even notice the tusks until Dan pointed them out.

Also, is it just me or does the ab part of the torso seem like a darker color than the main body or is that just how the wash on the review sample was painted?
Vintage NA for MOTUC!! LET'S GO~~

    Thanks Dan.

    The colors don't bother me.

What bothers me is that black washing. That looks bad. Plust the ab color looks different from the body color

I thought he was an Etherian not Eternian?

Nice review, Dan! I had NO idea the jaws of life was an elephant's face! CRAZY! Now it's impossible NOT to see.

I'll be glad to have him, but wish his head was a tad smaller. I prefer the staction though, but he's cool.

When Snout Spout arrives, I will have to sit him down and have the "good touch, bad touch" talk after that review though.

Looks great, can't wait to get him! Never had him as a kid which is surprising I guess. I got into MOTU about 1986-87 and only ever had the old figures even thought that was closer to the end of the line. I don't even remember seeing Snout Spout on the shelves.

I didn't like him upon first reveal, but I like him a little more since seeing him in person at PowerCon.

Great review! I laughed hard at the part where you put his head on He-Man.

Snout Spout was a character I never had as a kid so I'm really looking forward to his release. I actually like the orange outfit

I didn't know what to expect from this figure, but after the review Dan, I am on board! And the jaws of life with the added detail was one of those "holy cow" moments! Love it!

    Needed more 200X though...

Snout Spout was never my fave as a kid, but I like the idea of a Fire/Rescue guy on the heroic warriors team. I think I'll be popping off the elephant head and using another variant head from another figure. Hmmm.....
