Garn vs Garn

Now that we have Filmation rights which version of Garn will you prefer to have in MOTUC?
The mini comic version or the Filmation version?

They are both cool but I'm sure you must like one more than the other, so which version is your favorite and why?

Both would make awesome figures, and if Mattel wanted to make them two seperate characters, that would be my wish. If I had to pick, I would go with Filmation because the MC version resembles Geldor fairly closely so I would want him to look different from him. Plus, I think the FilMation character development is a bit better and the MC one might take a little bit away from Lodar. I would be cool with a combined bio too if they only went with one of them.

Here's my idea:

Base Garn off the mini-comic, but have his skin colour between Filmation and mini-comic. Dark, but not TOO dark. Make his boots King Hiss colour (still fringe design, because that's cool). For his armour, it will be a ONE piece outfit that will have a clasp at the back (like Bubble Power She-Ra's armour). Give him the Filmation extra head and one-piece armour as well. BAM two Garn's in one.

I prefer the mini-comic version, more detailed but not hyper anime. Are they both the same character?

Hard to say. I really like the Filmation design, but the mini comic one is more interesting overall. The Horsemen will have a tough time with this. Rana is much easier, I want her mini comic form much more than Filmation's Rhea stand-in (although they could be different characters, but if I have to choose between two obscure figures then Rana has it).

I want Queen Balina and Lodar both though. No "can only have one or the other" garbage!

So far the mini-comic version seems to be the most liked.
His design is really cool. I wonder if we'll ever see him in figure form.

We haven't got an original mini-comic character yet in MOTUC.

BOTH! Like MEF, do an inbetween skin tone and provide a second head and chest armor with his accessories. I really love the Filmation Garn, but the Native American Garn is waaay cooler! Both are fantastic!

And it's by an amazing coincedence they are both named Garn. WHAT? you think you're the only one called Bob, Bill, Fred or Frank?

This allows another black character to be in the line and allows a new one to join in the form of the Native American.

There we go! I believe I was for this idea in the last thread that talked about Garn. There is very little differences between the two; I say just give 'em both options in one package and throw a little nod in the bio as to why he has two looks.

Garn is one of the highly memorable characters from the He-Man cartoon. In my city, that episode aired a lot, and I remember getting to the point where I could quote the whole thing.

I didn't have that mini-comic, but I definitely think that he (with Rana, for sure!) would make fantastic action figures.

For me, getting parts to make both versions in one package would be amazing.

As my buddy DS and many others have said, this would be the way to go. An easy two for one deal. Shoot, the Bio could be written broadly enough to cover both versions. Sure, two characters with the same name? No problem! Just think if how Smith is for us, or Antilles is for the GFFA.

I choose Filmation Garn. I prefer that look for him. I also enjoyed that episode quite a bit. I can't help but prefer cartoon over comics. Filmation Garn is a monstarrr...
