This allows another black character to be in the line and allows a new one to join in the form of the Native American.
As a fan of Filmation and the mini-comics, this idea appeals to me but I am not the average collector in that I will buy anything that I have MOTU memories of. But at the same time, I understand people wanting two figures in one. It would be kind of tough, though, considering one is of Native American (appearing) descent and one is African in appearance. Unless they struck a compromise and painted the figure a shade between the two. Doesn't seem like it would be true to either character to do that, though.

    Easy solution:

    make Filmation Garn

    make mini-comic head and armor

pop of Garn's head, put on armor, add second head

    everyone wins

I like both, but Filmation version just edges it for me slightly.

I really want a mini-comic Garn figure! So if they want to include an extra head/accessories to make a Filmation version, then that would be cool too. But if I had to choose one over the other, it would definitely be the mini-comics version, by far!

I also think he will look great next to a classics Huntara figure!

My preference is the mini-comic version, but if they made GARN with two heads, I would easily buy two or three of this guy. I like the Native American look of the character. Adds some cool diversity to the line.

The difference between the two is like night and day almost like there actually could be two stand alone characters, but with all that said the comic version had so much more character and the features look a whole lot better!

    -Mini-comics armor
    -Filmation arm/legs/boots
    -both heads

Making the figure 8" tall would go above and beyond.

With hope, Garn, more Mini-Comic derivative, sees figure form before the series run ends. Two heads and varying armor to create both versions would just be extra incentives buy two.

Mini comic version. The character design is much better than the Filmation version.

Yeah, definitely the mini-comic version is the far better design. I think he would translate extremely well into a figure.

As one of the few cross-over characters from mini comics to Filmation, Garn definitely deserves to be made ... as well as Rana, Lodar, Kobolds ... and Queen Balina also if the line goes on for another 3-4 years!

The mini comic Garn is my preferred lookout of the two, but it seems to me the new direction for MOTUC and H&TMOTU provides the opportunity to ultimately receive both mini comic Garn in Classics and later Filmation Garn in the new line.

Garn, Lodar and Kothos for 2017!

If I had to choose, I'd definitely want the mini-comic version. He'd make a very cool figure!

I can do without either version but I had to choose, I'd go with the mini comic version.

Should we call the compromise version Garifuna Garn?

Yeah, well, I know, the native peoples of the Caribbean are not usually called "Native Americans", even though they are natives of the Americas. But I'm not aware of any distinct Black-Amerindian ethnicity of "Native (North) American" descent, so the Garifuna seem the closest to fit the bill...

...which gives me an interesting idea about a starting point for Targa's language: some kind of Khoisan-Arawakan potpourri, with a fair dose of active-stative OSV grammar mixed in with some fun tongue-twisting clicks and sphincteric vowels, all spiced up with Afro-Amazonian [pre]nasality and some Bantu-Athabaskan noun-class goodness. Sounds like a recipe for conlanging success!

Yeah, and that's why Filmation Garn must prevail!
