Very nicely done, Darkspecter my friend!

Following your ideas, Illumina would be a super addition to the line!

Just for fun, I updated my design for Illumina for her possible inclusion in the MOTUC line.
I made her arms white like the original, and changed her tiara and breastplate. I also followed Darkspecter idea and reused She-Ra 2.0 forearms.

So all parts are shared except the 2-pieces outfit, head and weapons. 4 parts in total, but since they most likely be PVC, they could fit on single steel mold, reducing the cost

I love this figure design and she-ra's arm bands work really well. Please don't be mad with me guys but when I look at emiliano's comic drawing of her her head design compaird to his MOTUC design two important design elements IMO seem to have been lost when putting her through the Mattel classics machine. Her hair seems to have become very flat and straight (I would like to see more of the volume & movement from the comic insert ) Also her tiara seems a bit too plain. I totally love Emiliano's work but I do think her tiara and the fullness of her hair could be a touch closer to the image in the comic, I would really love to see this MOTUC body design with the head design looking a bit closer to the tiara and hair of gbagoks recent image and the drama of her comic book face. She looked fierce in the comic preview. I'm probably just a bit too attached to that look. LOL

I still have to figure out what I'm going to do for Illumina Day! I hope everyone else is thinking about it and/or working on it!

I know most people here know this by now, but I thought I should post it here too!

There WILL be a MOTUC Fan Choice Poll! Mattel chooses 6 characters, He-Man.org chooses 1 character and He-Man.de chooses 1 character. The ballot of 8 characters gets to be voted on by 2013 MOTUC subscribers via a special code you get upon subscribing. The character that wins will be made in late 2013! The poll is specifically for the more obscure, not well known characters. This should be a fun event and it's something Illumina could be part of. Toyguru mentioned her by name at NYCC when naming off some characters that could be a part of this!

Just a reminder that Illumina Day is only 35 days away! If you want to take part by drawing, baking, sculpting, painting, gluing or sewing something...it would be a good time to get started (if you haven't already)!

So is this gaining any steam? I barely go to the Character support section and have'nt seen much about this event anywhere else. I really love the design of her look, like I've said she reminds me of a Star Wars type Aurra Sing or Asajj Ventress.

I would go for this. She's cool, and a Gar storyline expanding who they are in MOTUC would be greatly appriceated.

I've posted about Illumina Day on a bunch of different sites Mattel does the monthly Q&A with. I guess we'll see how well it goes when Illumina Day takes place, but there are people who will take part in it.

Anything Illumina-related (regardless of "talent") would be awesome! I'm very, very far from being a great artist, but I'm going to draw some stuff. It's all in fun!

Also, a fan page for Illumina just started up! This is the type of page you just hit the "like" button to follow. It will be easier to manage and follow. Pictures/Galleries are SO simple and easy to view on fan pages, but not so much in a Group.

Anyway, I encourage everyone that's interested in getting an Illumina figure in MOTUC one day, to join the new page!

I know nothing about the technical legality of it all, but I would guess that may not be an issue as long as it wasn't in the same field or category or what have you. After seeing your question, I was curious and found a trademark search site (trademarkia.com). So for example, the name "Glimmer" seems to be registered to both a mobile phone company and a furniture company (they were even registered in the same month apparently). Mattel filed for the name (Glimmer, I mean) in September of 2010 and got a "NOTICE OF ALLOWANCE - ISSUED 9/13/2011". I have no idea what that actually means, but it sounds good. Well, at least not bad. So going back to Illumina, I don't see that any other Toy-ish market has a trademark on the name. But again, that's just layperson investigation.

EDIT: After playing with it further, I guess you can't even put much stock in that. I think the reason that they didn't use "Flipshot" was because Nerf (or whoever owns Nerf) had the trademark, yet I don't see that showing up on the search (although, oddly enough I do see mattels old Flipshot stuff).

I got a request for a Clamp Champ and Illumina avatar on MattyCollector, so I added these two to the avatar pool:

I have a few announcements today!

1) He-Man.org has started the fan-vote poll (winning character to be added to Mattel's list 2013 subscribers get to vote on). I'm very excited to see Illumina is doing well in both the German fan poll and the .org fan poll. Illumina is currently first place on the .org and 2nd place in the German fan poll at 79 votes. The German-vote first place is Geldor with 114 (yes, I counted all the votes from the four different German sites

). I think it's a sure bet that he will win, but you never know because fans can change their votes on the German sites. Surprises could still happen!
