    Mini-Comics in MOTUC

    Ok I know we have discussed this several times and we have expressed our interest in them in several threads but we don't have an official one yet and that is why I opened this one.

    I want Mattel to read the fan demand for these things. We want new MOTU stories and we know Mattel has an awesome new storyline so the best way to tell it is through the mini-comics. With only the bios on the back it's not gonna be enough.

    OF COURSE I want mini comics. I mean what MOTU fan would not? Not only would the fans be hyped for the 15th of every month just for the figure, but also just to see what new story comes with it!

    Since we don't have a toon to go with this new line, mini comics would cause a huge positive buzz. Each month would be like a brand new episode, and of course in order to get that episode, you have to buy that months figure.

    That's all that is missing from the new packaging. I would be fine with reprints of the originals , if nothing else.

    OF COURSE!!!

    The 80's MOTU figures came with mini-comics. I didn't just get attached to the figures alone...I got attached to the whole package, this is how we knew about the characters and the stories behind them at first.
    New MOTU Classics is still not completely classic until they add mini-comics to them.

    Yes please.

    They ara a great idea. As posted above, it keeps people buying a figure that they might be on the fence about getting or not. Also, keeping a story going helps keep the characters real and important.
    I think the stactions would have faired better if those characters had been portrayed in some form of media

    Absolutely! I loved the comics as a kid (and still do).
    Having comics with stories telling the new MOTUC back stories would be great, like producing a comic with Hordak merging Keldor with a demon etc.

    I would love mini comics to be added to "MotU:C"! It would be great to see how the story plays out with the various continuities merged together. Plus, the bios have established the kind concept a "MotU:C" continuity might look like.

    Mattel please, buy the He-Man and She-Ra cartoons from Entertainment Rights. If you owned Both Filmation related "MotU" cartoons, plus "NA" and "MYP" cartoons, you would be able to distribute any or all 4 cartoons to Television in the lead up to another relaunch or a live action movie. Plus, you could include Filmation and "NA" animated characters in "MotU:C"!

    I think they should release a trade paperback of all the old minicomics first!
    This is something that was hinted at.

    Then some new minicomics.

    I would LOVE some new mini-comics....especially Alcala style!

    Plus, if Mattel wants people to feel more justified spending that $20 every month, mini-comics are a great way to do it. They are probabaly the best option for a cost-versus-value pack in....low cost for Mattel to produce and a high value to us as collectors.

    The look of the new figures has actually re-awakend my love of the original mini-comics...I'm in the midst of re-reading my set right now!
