Who redesigned Vintage MOTU first - Mike Young Prod or 4H?

Did 4H redesign MOTU for 2002 and go to Mattel/Mike Young or was the new toon in development and the 4H only made more detailed designs of the toon concepts?

200x designs are all originated by the 4H except the Snake Men and Snake Armor He-Man
MYP worked on the 4H designs to create the models for the cartoon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mattel let someone else design their Slime Pit Mutant and Mecha Armor Deluxe figures?

The designs for those (and for other He-Man and Skeletor Variants) were done in house, mostly by Dave Wolfram team. Some of them were then sculpted by the 4H (Jungle Attack He-Man), some were digitally sculpted by other outside vendors, like those you mentioned

wow the snakemen looked liked they fit in well with the 4h designs, who would make decisions like little subtle changes like Ram Man's shoulders being gold?

It must be also noted that the 4H tweaked the designs a lot for Tung Lashor and Ssqueeeze stactions, while they always said they were not terribly happy with the regula rfigures (King Hiss, Kobra Khan and Rattlor).
MYP did some color changes in the cartoon models like Ram Man's shoulder pads.

Nope, King Hiss was designed by Ruben Martinez, a designer from Mattel.

Sorecerss is an original design by the 4H, but she was supposed to have classic colors. MYP did Randor taking cues from the Battle Sound He-Man figure.
All the Hordes characters had been designed by the 4H a long time before they appeared in the MYP cartoon (except Calix)
MYP didn't use the 4H design for the Horde Troopers though.

Webstor: 4H, but MYP added feet.
    Odiphus and Marzo: MYP.

I like the cartoon designs of the snake men a lot better than the figures. So 4h wanted sorceress in original colors? whats very interesting

Wanted to ask this for awhile did the 4H redesign Castle Grayskull for the 200x line? Or was it in house?

Wait, I thought for sure that 4H did the Kobra Khan design....Are you sure it wasn't them?

And, do you know if we will ever see the designs for the ones they didn't release yet? I really want to see their Gwildor and Lubic designs....heh.

Yep, they designed Kobra Khan, but they had to make it more cartoony for the figute, that's why they wanted to redo him as a stacition

They never designed Gwildor or Lubic, I don't think there are a lot of unreleased sketches anymore.

I was joking about the Gwildor and Lubic, sorta. But, with the Dragstor and Horde-Buster He-Man barely visible in that screen-grab, I was wondering if more existed. Like, maybe, Modulok and the 1987 movie characters. Also, a clearer version of the aforementioned Dragstor and HB He-Man.

You have to admit that a 4H-designed 200X Lubic would be epic!

I always thought Castle Grayskull was a bit sparse and in-house-looking. It looked nothing like the MYP rendering, nor was it as dramatic or ornate as the 4H would have made it!

Interesting. I wonder what the Four Horsemen woulda done with the idea, or if they came up with any rough ideas? Castle Grayskull was one of the bigged let downs for me from 200x, both in terms of appearance and in the playset itself, so it would be great to see what the 4H would have done with it.
I'm assuming that maybe they didn't do it as they specialise more in actual figure sculpts? Even so, it deserved some of their creative input at least.
