A request for clarification from Toy Guru...

I've tried posting this elsewhere and have yet to get an answer so I thought this would be the best way to proceed-

Given the news you shared on no non-winning entries being collected in an art book or produced characters from the 80's contest nor the current day contest, does this include a character like The Mighty Spector whom I believe you mentioned you originally submitted in the 80's?

I personally was just curious as fair is fair and I assume this rule would apply to ALL entries regardless of where they come from?

I think with regards to Toyguru, "Membership has its privileges."

I don't begrudge him for it. I would do the same in his place.

I think his exact words were they wouldn't be producing any of the "runners-up" from the original 80's contest...

Technically The Mighty Spector wasn't a "runner-up" in that contest, so he's fair game!!!!

Well logistically speaking wouldn't this dictate releases regardless of who was the original creator of the character? Scott just seems like such a creative individual from reading his bio writing that I think he could really knock something special out if given another shot.

Then he also claimed NONE of the 80's nor current contest entries would.

    Also "technically" wouldn't any non-winning entry be a runner-up?

    Oh boy.

    ...oh. Boy.

I'm going to sit this out so my pro-Scooter Toyguru man-crush doesn't bother anyone.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Hey I love Scott he's a great guy- I just really felt it needed some clarification to set a precedent for future concept characters.

Regardless, I already paid for the sub anyway so Spector's purple butt will still go on my shelf!
