While I still recognize that this was a relatively "cheap" offering on Mattel's part, I think I will actually keep my sub figure. The changes they put forth made him more palatable, plus unlike other variants at least he comes with a new head.

So of the recent figures I have, and will receive, with my sub, I will keep Stinkor (obviously), Slushy and SMAA and sell Griffin and Mighty Spector.

If they glossed up Spector's paint a bit I would have kept him.

Not just you. Looks like a backwards foot possibly.

I was going to change out his foot & hand but now I may keep it. It does look really cool!

Didnt MAA also use a fold up shield like Randors in the MYP toon? I would check my discs but I had a few of my sets stolen with my laptop & cameras lsat month. Perhaps MGM remembers

I don't remember, but I wouldn't put it past MYP MAA to have used some quick, fold-out shield at some point.

If you guys are talking about my pic, then no, it is indeed the correct foot... might look weird in the pic.
I think what makes it look weird is having one of each boots...
    But I think it's a cool detail!

For me, having 2 different feet isn't what looks odd. To me, having 2 of the same boot in different colors is what looks odd. I would have preferred the boots to be identical with just the left foot part being yellow/orange to match the leg armor.

His paint apps are very nice. More figures should be this lucky. Hopefully the price increase will actually cover them.

No i meant it looks like the foot is a right foot on a left leg, it looks ok as a detail but i think they have put on the wrong foot? his toes dont look right or is it just the angle?

I skimmed the thread, but didn't find an answer: did TG ever explain why Snake MAA has Hordesmen on his cross-sell artwork as opposed to, you know, Snake Men?

Well, I take back what I originally said when Snake Man-At-Arms was first revealed. I am no longer TAKEN FOR THE ASS™!!!! instead I am more "he's not too bad". It's amazing how these figures win me over nearly every time once I have them in hand, after watching the reviews, as well as reading everyone's comments on them.

Not a bad figure at all. I almost feel bad for lumping him in with terrible Mo-Larr.

For being taken for the ass on this figure, I really do like him!

And the crazy thing is, it's the paint apps that do it, all the parts are really reuse.

I wonder if Stinkor would have had his apps if they didn't waste time on development of the forearms...

Don't know if it has been discussed already but has anyone else noticed the names of future releases printed on the back of the boxes?

I would wait until Preview Night at SDCC. For all we know, we might see it in Weapons Pak III.

That's to keep using those names. If Mattel doesn't use them on products, then they lose them and we have characters misnamed "The General" or "Battle Fist". Those names aren't clues to upcoming figures.

When I get mine, I'm going to pop-and-swap the Hermes head (the vintage Toy head) onto him. I have zero desire for Snake MAA. Rubbish! My current MAA has the mustache (cartoon) head face.
I still need MOTUC: King Grayskull, King Randor, Wun-Dar, Gygor, Grizzlor, and Preternia He-Man

This is gonna sound like somewhat of a stretch, but it was the gold accent paint job on the armor that actually kinda won me over. This armor just looks so much better for a standard Man-At-Arms figure. I don't give a damn about the Snake head and the Serpent Ring goes to King Hiss imo. For the TAKEN FOR THE ASS™, "cheapness" of a variant this seemed to initially be...they sure went to town on that paint job!

This also goes to show you that they could EASILY sell straight up repaints (with new accessories) as quarterly variant figures. Especially if they get a bomb paint job. I'll take a SINISTER, Green Trap Jaw, Mattel! Just go to town on that paint job! Give him some dark, scary eyes like the 200x variant.

I wish Stinkor's accessories were two toned as originally shown. Sometimes an A+ paint job makes all the difference on these figures for me.
