I don't get why pretty much everyone lists that many characters.
I think everybody should have 1 vote...

So there is a predefined characters list. How will they build it?

I hope we can vote for more than 1 in order to balance/adjust the result.

Presumably this list of characters will be whittled down once we get the top qualifiers. Right now, I don't consider this to be the official vote.

I hope you're right, but I'm sure when all is said and done the winner will be Illumina, not a big fan of her. Next year we are going to have so many girls, but oh well. Maybe we will still Eldor down the road, but some how I don't think we will be.

(I hope they keep whittling the list down to the point where there's just 2 left to vote on)

Start with a huge amount of choices, then knock off the 5 low votes ones every 3 days until the list gets down to the top ten. Then knock off 2 each time time until we get down to 4. Then knock off one at a time until it down to 2, then have a 2 week vote for the last 2. I think this would be a really fair way to do it.

Why don't you think we will get an Eldor figure?

Mattel keeps telling use that they want to make all the figures from the old lines and the prototypes. So far, we have got He-Ro (with three different coloured gems and a tattooed version) PLUS the Powers of Grayskull 3 part mini-comic which was never finished. Bionatops is even in the first comic, which He-Ro also stars in. That's a lot of stuff from the very short lived Powers of Grayskull line right there! That's more POG stuff than NA stuff we have right now!

I'm positive Eldor is coming sooner than later. I mean, we even got Preternia Disguise He-Man from the POG mini-comic and Eldor can share his hood, potentially.

Also, since TG said 2012 is all about keeping promises throughout the years (Photog, finishing the mini-comic, the Star Sisters, etc.), I wouldn't be surprised if Eldor is already in the 2012 lineup. Same with Darius and/or Mara from NA.

When we get Eldor, I REALLY hope his Book of Living Spells can still open and the pages will have real holograms, just like the 80's one was supposed to. That would be SO cool!

I don't know how much she qualifies, since she was number 11 or 12 in the most wanted Filmation thread.

She is obscure, but seems to be wanted by most who see her. I need my Huntara!

For those who don't know about silaxian warrior, he should be in a unproduced episode called "The Silaxian Wars". I saw just a pic of him and him face is very like 2k Zodak, with Huntara's head tatoos and him costume has same details but a little bit more covered body.

Illumina is my vote. I know there are some folks who disagree, but I think this might be the only chance to get this figure, where many of the others like Scrollos and Songster can be rallied for at a later time.

He appears in two Filmation episodes as the main villain... the names of which escape me but I think folks will remember him from looking at the attached photo!

The apparent cheapness of Snake Man-At-Arms has me worried for this contest.
Mattel has said the winner will need to only have minimal tooling..... so just how 'minimal' will it have to be?
Based on SMAA, if a character such as Illumina were to win, would she only get a new head & need to reuse the Teela tunic? That may not go over well, and may have her supporters wanting to change their vote.
Where as a character like Strobo, or mini-comic Trap Jaw would be pretty all repaint & parts swapping.
It will greatly help in the selection process once we have a better idea just how much new tooling can go in to the winning choice.
I would prefer my vote be for a non-variant/repaint, like an Illumina, or Goat Man, or Geldor, but if they can't be done 'properly' without going on the cheapest of the cheap, then maybe my vote would be better cast on a variant/repaint that only has 0, 1, or 2 new pieces like SMAA.
