Looking good. Can't wait to see the rest of it.. Is it in scale with the 200x busts? What will the base look like, will it have the standard hero base?

    That is beautiful!!

I won the Force Captain Adora bust at Power Con, and it's AMAZING.

My mom saw it the other night and just couldn't get over how beautiful it is.

I just now, because of this thread, saw the Rebel bust too. I think I may need to order one of those to go along with my Rebel bust... and maybe one of these She-Ra busts too. A 3-bust collection: "She-R-Evolution"
A Want List of Sorts: Angella, Sssqueeze, Blast Attack, Multi-Bot, Peekablue, Veena, Calix, Evilseed, Mara, Point Dread & The Talon Fighter... and all the other POP & NA characters.

Two thoughts to encourage you in this project:

1 - Does She-Ra really need an eagle on her chest? I'd always thought of that as more a Wonder Woman thing...

2 - Take your time with the Tiara's "wings". They look fine as they are now, but not entirely Filmation accurate. To me (and probably a few others), the tiara is an essential part of the character's visual appeal. Make sure you're happy with how that tiara looks

I love these busts. Definitely works of art.

    Hey,

Thanks for the replies...and the feedback. I really appreciate it!!

I was using Nate's drawing as inspiration on this one, trying to take the Filmation She-Ra and bring it into the real world. As far as the bird, I actually love it. I have never been fond of the star fish that was on her costume...and the bird is actually a falcon (Zoar) and provided some ties to C.Grayskull.

Still working on the tiara. It's going to be tightened up and giving some more details. Should have a final image by tomorrow...then its on to the next bust!! Gonna have to get that one done by Dec 15th.

    Hi,

Thanks for bidding and winning the Adora bust. She really came out wonderfully.

as far as the She-Ra evolution, that has been the plan from the beginning, I'm super excited to see all three next to each other.

    I'll update pics soon

    Thanks again

Yeah, the falcon design goes way back to the 200X line when it started. It was my "Baena-vision" idea of what She-Ra might look like in the new line before we had the Horsemen's version revealed.

As Tweeterhead said, I always felt her chest design a little off for me personally, so I thought to tie her to Grayskull with a sculpted Zoar on her chest, the feathers mimicking her previous designs. I take full blame and recognize this is not the She-Ra we all grew up with, it's an intentional change on my part, I know it won't please everyone.

With these busts, the idea isn't to copy exactly the characters, but to throw a little twist on them, something unique, something that would set this bust collection apart from any potential "official" line of statues.

Beastman had a similar treatment on his medalion, while he mostly is the official Beastman... There still is just enough of a change to set him apart.

I'm really happy as one might imagine, with how She-Ra is coming together, I think Mike Cusanelli is doing a fantastic job on her! Can't wait to see her completed, and complete the evolution of Princess Adora!

Tweeterhead has a lot of great ideas coming up after She-Ra too!!!

I really respect that, actually. And even though I liked her original chest-logo design, I now understand where you were coming from with the bird idea. Originality is never a bad thing And these really do look fabulous.

    Thanks DisneyBoy!
I know how much She-Ra/Adora means to you, and grateful you like the overall look. Maybe just consider this... Her Sunday outfit!

Beautiful sculpt! I love that design. Although below the neck it looks more like a Wonder Woman design than She-Ra, itīs still beautiful. What a shame these busts arenīt in scale to the NECA Minibusts...
