What is your honest opinion of The Mighty Spector?

You said to be honest, so honestly IMO The Might Spector is the UGLIEST figure I have ever seen in my life. It is hideous and doesn't fit in with other MOTUC figures. However, I do feel bad for Scott as a person/ toy collector because it is his creation and something he is proud of.

Just because you "played with MOTU toys as a kid" doesn't mean you have a good idea for a new MOTU figure. I played with them as a kid also, and I can proudly say that I wouldn't come up with a great character then.... or now! Quit making the line about you and start making it about the fans... which you ARE one, right???? There ya go. Just because you can't create a decent character doesn't mean you're not a GREAT MOTU fan. Some of us just aren't talented in that area. It's okay, TG!

EDIT: 'Bio' in the poll is referring to the loose 'bio' as eluded to by TG at Power-Con (time traveler with wrist Cosmic Key who will be integral in tying the universes together) as opposed to his official cardback bio.

Yeah, I totally hear you that some fans are not 100% sold on him, but that is exactly why we did not include the 30th figs in the main subscription. You can choose whether he is for you or not.

i thought the 30th figs weren't in the sub because these were brand new characters never introduced in motu lore...not because fans might not like them. i mean, if that's the standard for being in the sub or not why are star sisters and smaain the sub? there's a clear backlash against those figs too.

you might want to be careful throwing around "not 100% sold" because there are a lot of figs fans aren't 100% sold on.

also, there is a 30th sub and this fig was announced after many had purchased it so they won't have a choice.

I think is a good looking figure but IMO definitly not a Motu character. My vote is "I couldn't care less about him either way"

"I don't like him. I don't think it's a good looking figure" Honestly he's terrible looking. I threw up in my mouth at the Power Con reveal. Though I don't mind he made this figure. We don't have to buy it. I don't think it should have been released on the 30th Ann. of MOTU b/c it may seem he's trying to put a stamp on MOTU. Whether we like it or not he's stamping by bringing us this line. Which I'm grateful for. But.....honestly put the figures out that fans WANT. Make them and be done.

I love him because he is MOTUC, and I love everything MOTUC.

This is just too crazy for me. Anything and everything thrown into MOTUC packaging automatically makes it desirable and acceptable in MOTUC?

Anyone that voted for this option should think long and hard about the ramifications of this. It could go really bad, really fast and only you, the person who buys anything they throw at you would be left to keep the line going.

End result: A MASSIVE exodus by the more discerning collector and the end of MOTUC.

i like spector i would have preferred his belt piec to be a dark bronze but i accept the design. for me motu is about archetypes taking all the different types of heroes and putting them in a swords and sorcercy fantasy story, barbarians, swashbucklers, pilots, pirates, firemen, kings, wizards etc one thing it has been missing is the more traditional vigilante superhero and now with the advent of the michty spector we have that.

the time travel aspect is rather interesting to me, as we know the cosmic key can change the past however spectors boss (and i wont say who as its spoilers from the leaked pages) probably only wishes him to save as many as he can. the temptation to do things like really change history by saving the sorceress or stopping keldor being banished would be huge.

what really interests me is toyguru mentioned that the symbol is a spade from a playing card to us, it means something completely different on eternia and i just love that! it fleshes out the civillian history of eternia learning about these things which i have to admit is sorely lacking in most of the media presented throughout the years

He sucks & is a waste of materials that coulda went to a better figure. Photog & Dragoman are the only good hits in the anniversary line, the rest epic fails.

My honest answer would've been that my gut reaction when I first saw him was not positive, but once I got used to the initial design, I really warmed up to him and now welcome him into my collection.

I think he was just so different from what I expected the 30th subline to be, it took a second to appreciate him.

Of course, I guess that's why I stick to the Fan Art Forums - I got no Spector hate !

I like him. I think the colours used on him are striking, they stand out. He has cool weapons. He can time travel, who doesn't want to do that!

My only dislike is that he works for He-Man, I'd rather he was a lone agent. or part of something bigger which we were to find out about in time.

Visually though, I think he's amazing and I can't wait to add him to my collection.

Congrats Scott, amazing figure. I'll definitely enjoy it.

The worst about this character is the design.

At first I rejected Sir LazerLot, but after seeing some cool fan artwork and the minicomic sketchs, I start loving it. TMS still is so odd even for MOTUC.

I'm indifferent, but I really wanted to say that it's not the bio that makes me accept so much (but that could be tweaked for my liking) and the possibility of redesigning him which will help me take him in!
