It will be Scorpia. Their logic is to underproduce a much fan demanded character and overproduce a figure like Snake Man-at-Arms (which I wouldn't pay $1 for!)
Ram-Man would make sense too. Hopefully it is Ram-Man as I can live without him![]()

Top 10 Most Wanted:1/Madame Razz (with Broom), 2/Scorpia, 3/Glimmer 4/Filmation Hordak (with Imp), 5/Kowl, 6/Queen Angella, 7/Two-Bad 8/Modulok, 9/Dylamug and 10/Strong Arm.
I bet they'll go back to being obscure but cool. Shadow Weaver was done to celebrate 30th anniversary and Filmation rights.
My mistake I knew I had read one of the recent figures was to have been the original 2012 sub exclusive, guess I just figured SMAA was the one I remembered reading?
I know many fans would be "upset", but wouldn't Ram Man sell subscriptions? Most fans will want Ram Man for their display/collection/Heroes as he is a core member of the "Masters". I guess we will have to see how 2012 starts to play out if figures like Sorceress, Fisto, Khan, etc. are all instant sellouts because of the lowered production to cause extra demand for those figures. Which would then cause those who skipped the sub to re-think for 2013 possibly?
Just making the subscription exclusive figure some random variant or unknown character (someone mentioned Darius, I have no idea what this character looks like?) will not be an incentive to buy the subscription. And seemingly Mattel is putting it's focus on subscription sales from 2012 on. And I can see why they would if you get enough subs to make any figure you want you take the risk out of having any particular figure not sell enough units that they are sitting on leftovers and not turning a profit. And obviously Mattel still needs to preview a nice selection for the next sub at SDCC, but if figures are selling out quickly causing extra demand, and a huge character as the sub exclusive would all be contributing factors in increased/maintained subscription sales.
Though I want Ram-Man, I'd never buy a sub for him.
Same with Shadow-Weaver.
No figure could ever make me buy a sub.

I keep on saying Eldor for a sub figure.
I think it would be a mistake to make someone like Ram-Man or Two Bad or even Spikor a sub figure. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Wow!! We are thinking this far out already???
I think because it's a non huge year it will go back to being easy retools like Strobo or a He-Man variant. Possibly a Filmation character cause now they need to salt them in the mix somewhere and they would have a bit of a lead in now.
Gaping holes in my collection: Regular old Teela, Weapons pack 1, Power & Honour book 1, SDCC artbook (maybe)
Ram man as an exclusive would be best for the line. They lose sub holders who are secretly cherry pickers, but they'll gain more sub holders from scalpers ( for a lack of a better term) and let them deal with selling to cherry pickers. I would buy a sub if it meant I could secure my spot for ram man. As a consumer I'd prefer a character like 200x sorceress. She perfect for a completist but not one every collector will need one in their collection.
I'm pretty sure TG and the "powers that be" in charge at Mattel have learned from the backlash with Shadow Weaver that perhaps it wasn't the best idea- good intentions or not. With 2013 I see them doing either a variation of an A-list character (maybe Red Beast or mini-comics Clops') perhaps even Eldor although I think he's more likely as a convention premium.
I'm leaning towards the A-list variant because it will save them a huge headache not having to deal with Weavergate 2013, and it's a way to still entice subscribers with a popular variation of a major player.
They should go with a Flimation character - that is high demand (Shakoti / Lizard Man etc) and has never been made before.
After 5 years, IT is a reality...

I'd SCREAM if it was Strong Arm! Damn subs! For the record i could live without Horde Prime, I couldn't without Shadow Weaver.
Well, Shadow Weaver as Sub Fig got me to buy one. I couldnt miss that, no chance.
I agree that Horde Prime is a perfect Sub Fig though, and if he was the one bumped, too bad, but it explains his somewhat strange inclusion in the monthly slot. Great fig though.
Shadow Weaver being the sub figure is great also because it was a way to get us a Filmation fig soon. Early part of the year? Fantastic.
the King needs his Queen and pet! Queen Veena and Battle Lion for MOTUC!

Have they though?
I hope you are right, but I would argue the opposite.
For as many of us who disliked the idea of a heavy hitter like Shadow Weaver being the sub exclusive, there seemed to be just as many defending TG/Mattel's decision as a brilliant business move to increase sales, thereby negating the 'backlash'.
I'd just like to ask all the folks who talk about how foolishly the line is being handled to consider the following.
The line has already lasted far longer than NA, She-Ra or 200x has. It may very well last longer than the original MOTU which was a powerhouse. And despite the fact that the original MOTU line was the hottest toy of the '80s. we have received more figures from MOTUC in 3 years than was produced in the line's heyday in the first 4 1/2 years.
Sadly, you can't divorce emotion from a toyline based on nostalgia.
Got Man-E-Faces, give 'em Whiplash when I Battle-Cats

Hey I was just trying to be....optimistic...yeah that's the term lol!At this point I almost feel like the middle child mediating between two siblings so they stop fighting. I do seriously hope that they realize the animosity this caused among the community and go back to the whole "we will never offer a key character as a sub exclusive" creed.
This would be beyond all degrees of epic were it to happen.
