Got my sub order today! They were waiting for me when I got home from some job interviews, so I had to take a quick look, but in a rare moment of self control I made myself work out before I opened them, but now that's done so I'm off to free them from their plastic prisons!!!

Congrats Mern-Ra. Too bad you're taking them out of their pp's. Anyway that Swift Wind looks amazing and the box looks huge. As for Snout Spout I'm probably in the minority for really liking this guy. He's vintage... w/ an Elephant head & axe. People may laugh at him but if I came across this guy at night in a ally I'd be shooting milk duds in my pants. He's ferocious....at least his Staction is. Later Mern-Ra....

You are EXACTLY right, his STACTION is. The vintage and Classics figures...not so much. I get the rule that they're doing vintage versions first, and for the most part I'm behind it, but rules were made to be broken. I love most of these figures from the moment they're revealed, and I thought maaaaaaaybe Snout Spout would win me over once I got him in hand like Bow and Buzz Off did, but no such luck this time. I will never understand why Mattel didn't at least do the head from the staction--it was amazing and showed The Four Horsemen really could make ANYthing cool if they're allowed to work their magic, but alas they were given restrictions. The time is not far off when my shelves will be too full to display all the figures, and Snout Spout will be one of the first to get demoted to the storage bin in the closet. I also really like the design of his hands and boots, and am glad that his body has some nice shading and isn't quite SO orange. However, he's basically wearing speedo's, and it just don't look right!

Swiftwind, however, is AWESOME. It's always nice to get figures on the sale day, and that hasn't happened in a while, but it's gonna be a looooong couple of days until I get a She-Ra that can actually ride him! I really don't know if he could be any more cartoon accurate, and that makes me beyond happy! He really does look like he just flew off the screen!

Hoooooooowever, there was a slight issue with.....his rear. There was a clear rubber band securing his tail, and it got caught inside the joint. I save them and use them for display stuff and other things, so I was trying to get it out without cutting it, but then I noticed a kind of sticky substance getting on my hands from the parts of the rubber band that were inside the joint! Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm 5 years old, but Swiftwind still pooped on me!

Also there are some paint issues this month--Snout Spout had some extra blue on his belt, which is black, and Swiftwind has some bad spots on the bridal, which worries me since PixelDan had the same problem, but hopefully it's not widespread.

I'll try and get some pics up!

I did open the package and white mailers immediately, but knew if I actually opened the toys I would NOT have left them later! And I was actually considering waiting until I got my BP She-Ra to open Swifty, but once I saw how awesome he looked that plan went right out the window!

I'm finally reaching the point where I will be selling the figures I don't like... so far, it's been great, even the figures I didn't like that much at the beginning like He-Ro or Tytus, I eventually liked a lot...
BUT, cannot say the same about Swift Wind...
I think I'll end up selling it... same with the Star Sisters...

Here's a weird question...

How come there's a BIG Powers of Grayskull sticker designed for giants (like Tytus and Megator), but the BIG Swiftwind box still gets a tiny PoP sticker?

Never thought about it until I saw the stickers beside each other.
