Horde Troopers-How many would you buy?

I would buy 5 or 6 Horde Troopers packs. With the Snakemen guards, I'll probably buy 4 packs.

I really hope they make the black armored Troopers from the 87 movie some day, as I would buy 6 packs of those guys.

I have two requirements for my Horde Army when/if this figure gets released:

1) That they be more plentiful than any other faction's army (Palace Guards, Snake Men, whathaveyou).
2) That there be enough to flank every member of the Horde on both sides (so if I have a shelf of 6 Hordesmen characters, I will need 7 Horde Troopers to stand behind them on the shelf, staggered, to create the full display.

That said, there are 8 Horde toys from the 80s, and at least 4 major Horde females (Catra, Shadow Weaver, Scorpia and Octavia). Plus Horde Prime. That's at least 13 members of the faction... meaning 7 2-packs at least. more if I have to display them on two or three shelves (which I will likely have to).

Now that I've typed that out... it does seem a little nuts.

They need to approach these very carefully. What made the Eternian Guards sets so popular is the interchangability of the armors. Even when the Snake Men warriors were revealed, everyone immediately wanted other heads and more colors to expand the ranks. What will work for the Horde troopers is the same type of interchangability done so well before.

You need a compelling reason to buy multiple sets:

1) Horde Trooper (default), helmet can be hollowed out for disguises
2) Alt Filmation Hordak head (Horde General attire when he kidnapped Adora)
3) Alt He-Man Filmation head (put He-Man's head underneath "disguised" as Horde Trooper from Secret of the Sword)
4) Removable mouth/neck gaurd, attach cape and alt head--> General Sundar

Weapons: with red tech staff, holster and blaster (General Sundar), maybe alt "battle damaged" chest plate, and limbs can pop off a la Kronis to resembled "destroyed" action feature.

I am already eyeing 10 sets myself.

I would love an army of 100 but I think 10 is pretty formidable. Plus display space is an issue. Would like to customize a few or more too.

I would think 2 is enough. Maybe 3 or 4. They ought to just release them as a single figure, they all have the same look.
