Evil is only a perspective.
Skeletor may be greatly misunderstood.
He cares for beastmen and mermen and snakemen.
He cares for the disabled, like TrapJaw.
Skeletor uses pearls for magic, the Sorceress uses the abysal mines beneath Greyskull.
Blood magic and rock magic are metaphorical differences, between people, who differ in real life and fantastical life.
What if Skeletor was discovered to be a trollan clone made of marzipan and Beast Man was actually a robot dog crossed with a puppet monkey and what if She-Ra dressed up as Krampus every year because Marlena was half Austrian?
What if Mer-Man secretly dated Roboto?
What if anything liked/happened to/ did anything? Is this line of thought ever going to be picked up of canon or does any of this postulation fit with the two or three variations on canon (filmation/Mattel/MYP/Neitlich) that are being bandied about at the moment?
In a word. No.
I really like your posts Eternian-King_paul and the mad-as-a-box-of-frogs crazy ideas. You'll forgive me if I never want you within three hundred miles of any new MOTU script.
Gragar,, did you read my storyboards?
I think you would find I understand Masters very well.
..and I am mad as a frog.
I really don’t buy She-Ra liking Skeletor. To me they will always be mortal enemies with She-Ra being good and trying to do what’s best for everyone, and Skeletor being evil and selfish.
Hordak though would be a different matter. Adora has fond memories of Hordak as her adopted father and because of her upbringing in the Horde. She-Ra would therefore have some residual fondness for him and the feeling of belonging, purpose and security that he provided. See the opening of a UK She-Ra comic for example:
And Hordak must surely have some feelings for his adopted daughter Adora too having spent so long together so the fondness should be mutual.
Whether this fondness would leave to anything more than working together if the conditions were right I will leave to the reader to decide.
Hordak and Skeletor might however have too much competition for She-Ra's friendship from the more handsome, kind and trustworthy Bow and Sea Hawk, and maybe even Superman (who famously faced off against her brother He-Man) with whom she shares several of the same experiences, powers and values to make it unlikely that a close or romantic relationship would ever develop.
I have ALWAYS felt that Hordak [HAD] to feel more than just hate for Adora.
...after all why bother to expend so many of his forces and resources for one woman alone?
PLUS, he did raise her as his own child for MANY years and would most likely have treated her as such...
...I mean think about how EAGER he was to pursue Adora when she tried to go back to Eternia with Adam!
I have always felt that Hordak just thought of her as a child that has lost her way. [regardless of his twisted views] that she just needed show the correct view of things... his.
...kinda of loving.. but still evil non the less... lol

I think that Hordak is the kind of guy that likes girls but they dont like him.
I think Skeletor is the kind of guy that makes you suprised that girls would like him.

If it gives you any sense of peace, She-Ra rode that way with everybody...Not to mention the way they rode Swiftwind together ...![]()
See now I don't think this way about any characters, I tend not to think of a fictional characters sexual orientation or desires unless it is important to the character. Hordak is just really evil and wishes to have all the power, same for Skeletor I guess and that is all that matters to me, whether or not they are straight, gay or bi and actively seek out partners to take to bed just doesn't enter into any of my imaginings
I think there's a lot of confusion in this thread stemming from the fact that the topic wasn't really outlined in a clear way. I think the person who started the thread probably intended to talk about personality types, ie: The good-natured good girl & the charming rascal, rather than She-Ra and Skeletor specifically.

Some of the best threads on here are inspecific.
..people dont need to have a thread that answers its own question.
(etc.. I know that Skeletor and She-Ra getting along is good material.)
Well, Adora was raised by Hordak, so maybe she has a thing for bad men as father figures and... um... I'm just going to stop now... lol...![]()

I've seen you post this idea several times. I swore to myself that I would not make attempt to scorn or verbally injure anyone on the boards anymore. So I have to ask this in the nicest, sweetest, most non-judgemental way that I can...
What the BLEEP is rock magic? What the BLEEP is blood magic!? When the BLEEP was this ever even hinted in MOTU mythos? What kind of distinction between the two do you feel would serve MOTU (not that it exists in the canon in any way shape or form to my knowledge, but I don't know everything), and why the BLEEP would She-Ra and Skeletor have any inclination towards one another beyond bone-breaking, magic blasting, earth shattering battles to the death?
There is MOTU, and then there is the stuff that occupies your own head. She-Ra and Skeletor 'getting along' or 'falling in love' is not good material. I could not see this as a remote possibility, even if the material were to fall in the hands of Michael Bay and he were to make up with Megan Fox and cast her as She-Ra in the most God awful incarnation of POP which would forever haunt my dreams.
It is little more than some bizarre slash fan fic concoction that could constitute a strange sexually explict fan piece. It makes no sense.

Im not sure this is a question,,.. or simply one that means reading my movie storyboards.
But I think it makes alot of scence.
The biggest invention of creation in my work is She-Ra being about natural magic, and not about some weird 'other' sword we never saw before.
A few minor tweeks and She-Ra and He-Man are fighting.
(At least in the first movie. In the second they get along just fine.)
Rock magic is the sword of GreySkull, ,,as in abysal mines dug by pigmen.
The worst notion I have in my work is She-Ra turning blue like Skeletor or Orko.
(I am used to her looking sexy and normal.)
The only thing I can think of with rock magic is tapping into natural resources like ley lines to empower yourself or drawing strength from rocks that are embedded deep in the ground. Which still suggests the user taps into the foundations of the planet to cast magic. Blood magic sounds to me like mixing blood into potions eg use in sacrifical rituals or doing thing like Marvel's Magneto being able to tap into the iron content of a person's bloodstream to control them. But I'm probably way off base here.
Man-At-Arms: That's very interesting, but silly.

no no,, I mean naturaly born with magic. Some have it, some dont.
I also see colour as a very important thing, blue skin for magic users and red rock crystals.
(I would preffer the red colour sword the adam toy came with to be the colour of such rock.)
...
Also I thought up a thing called a rock flower that grows out of places with no aparent soil.
(It is how I conect Glimer and Perfuma as unique magic users.)

Impossible!! She was in love with her mentor (as Adora of course) Hordak!
I don't think you quite understand what went on skeletor helped tear she-ra/adora from her parents whether she was blue or not she would be reviled by him. Also her mind was subverted by Shadow Weaver so she was loyal to Hordak and maybe they manipulated her to love him unconditionally too.

Ive seen a thousand hours of Transformers, Robotech and Masters of the Universe, so I know what has happened.
..and I dont remember any love hipnotizms.
I did say maybe.

She-Ra might need a love spell to like Evil Lyn though.
..if she's going to hang around snakemountain once in a while.
