    Answers to WTFWTK 2.69!

Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 69 questions!

This round of questions were selected by bamf1980.
Thanks to that fan for their help!

    -------------------

    1. Canada-Man: I've seen some panels from the Dark Horse mini-comic and it looks really awesome. I was wondering if Mattel might be on board with Dark Horse to make an ongoing full-size comic series sold in comic shops?

We are always interested in new ways to bring MOTU to the fans and a new comic series would be great. Nothing to comment on now, but it is always something we are exploring.

    2. Patreek: Can we get an update about when we will see keldor's swords?

They will be offered with a figure in 2012.

    3. Irian: Just because I doubt future bios will be detailed enough to have this info, in which order do the following villains join Keldor/Skeletor: Panthor, Evil-Lyn, Kronis, Beast Man, Whiplash, Trap-Jaw, Mer-Man and Clawful?

Keep reading the bios and the mini comics!

    4. Tundra_Torque: In Snout Spout's bio, it's mentioned that he is one of three athletes to undergo a change thanks to Hordak. Will we ever meet the other two athletes or was this just filler for the bio?

    Keep reading the bios!

    5. Facet: It has been stated that we will be getting no Filmation style varients of any figures, such as He-Man, Skeletor, King Randor, etc. But would you guys consider a "Classicized" version of Filmation Clawful, Tung lashor, and Multibot as varients due to the extreme differences between their cartoon and toy design?

It is always possible, but with so many characters available to us and limited slots per year, we may not get to these in the immediate future. But they aren't off the table if a character had a significantly different look in one of the animated series (and not just an "animated" look but a different outfit etc...).

The answer to the comic series is encouraging! In fact, I like that some of the answers to things like a comic series and things like Eternia towers being sold separate from each other, the possibility of a The Slime Pit, etc. lately have been answered with "looking into it", instead of "no"

I can say it for you... You don´t have to wait the bios...

Snout Spout, Dragstor and Extendar were modified by Hordak (minicomic canon).

But in Snout Spout bio says that Jaxton is a peasant, not what kind of athlete.

I wonder that Dragstor is a runner/biker and Extendar a gladiator.

Wow, Filmation Clawful might as well been another character altogether...the toy and the cartoon versions are nothing at all alike..I just looked him up..and yes...Filmation Clawful would make a better looking figure than the vintage toy, but I do get why they made the vintage Clawful first.
    Recent....Flutterina, NA Skeletor
    Coming....Rio Blast (sold already)
Wanted....Entrapa, Light Hope, (A real) Filmation Hordak & Clawful
    Considering....
    Needed....Dragstor

Oh man, did I forget to use these [sarcasm][/sarcasm] again? Sorry....

    2. Patreek: Can we get an update about when we will see keldor's swords?

OK. 2 questions out of 5 were actually properly answered ! That's not too bad, considering we're still far from February 2012 and NYTF...

I can't speak on behalf of anyone associated with SMC, but I'm guessing the answer would be no due to possible copyright infringement. Someone here not too long ago asked if it would be possible to produce the Staff of Avion, and the issue of rights came up as well. I'm sure Mattel will release one, though........hopefully .

    @shadowfall:

I suppose the reason they made the vintage toy Clawful first was due to him having been slotted in on the "roadmap" as it were before Filmation rights were acquired.

    Regards,
    Victor P.

That's according to the vintage MOTU mini comics. I was aware of that when I chose the question for this round of Q&A.

But in that mini-comic, the Horde was a He-Man villain. In the bios, at least at the time of Jaxton's transformation, the Horde were trapped on Etheria fighting the Rebellion.

So one has to wonder, will they stick with the original bios, thus making Extendar an Etherian, too, or will they go in a different direction?

YAAA!! They answered my question! I would love to see an ongoing comic book series. Keep on it Mattel!!! There are so many untapped stories to tell in and comics would be a great way to get those stories out there!

It'd be neat if Extendar and Dragstor were Etherian. If so I'll happily display Snout Spout and Extendar as members of the Great Rebellion. Keeping Extendar on Etheria would certainly help Mek-A-Neck's inferiority complex.

who would keldor swords come with other than snake man at arms?

Here here to Filmation Hordak, the most important Filmation Variant. Let him be sooner than later, and before a Filmation version of anyone else.

    Here here to Filmation Multi-Bot

He is my no 1 big request now & Leech was my last.

Modulok I'm sure will get done but I totally love Filmation style Multi-Bot.

I always thought he looked great amongst Horde Troopers.
