    Sallah's MOTUC Commercials!

I miss those old commercials from the vintage line. Why can't we get little internet commercials for upcoming figures? Just take the exact same scripts and music from the vintage commercials, but use the MOTU Classics figures instead! To illustrate this point, my son Blaze and I whipped this up: A remake of the original Battle Armor He-Man commercial! And yes, I know it's "low-tech", but it's just to illustrate how fun these commercials could be!

In fact, we had so much fun on this that we'll definitely have to do more of these...

    OH MY GOD

    VIDEO OF THE YEAR!!!!

    DO THEM ALL!!!!!

This is a brilliant idea, and your son (and this is no joke) should do toy commercials... his delivery was totally believeable.

This was excellent. You should team up with some of the others and see what kind of soundtrack stuff and effects you can do!

The vintage commercials where used to promote the figures to kids. These MOTU Classics figures are really priced for kids. Though it may be cool at the end they'll end up spending way too much $$$ on TV time.

Well, I didn't mean on television... I meant like little shorts on their website. Hasbro did something similar for the Joe lines not too long ago...

Thanks man! I really appreciate that... We will definitely do more! And we'll hopefully improve the tech a little too...

    Cool idea Sallah!

Maybe this is something the fans will just have to take control of and do for Mattel.

For example, maybe some fan could post a mock-Trap-Jaw re-issue ad on YouTube to advertise the upcoming sale (bit hard to do Whippy given no one has him).

This could be a fan led internet marketing scheme to help ensure the longevity of the line! Sounds like an excellent idea. Of course, I have no idea about YouTube so I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Do Dan's reviews go on YouTube or only here on the Org??

    Anyway, great Job Sallah!

    Really cute.

We actually discussed this on the chat just the other day. A series of commercials with different .orgers as the "kids" making the silly voices would be great.

For some reason I think a "GY-GOR! GY-GOR! GY-GOR! GY-GOR!" commercial would fit really well with the vintage style.

Awesome video! But you forgot the "....from Mattel!" at the end.

Anyways we were just talking about this in the chatroom that they should make commercials and play them during the WSOD to brainwash us further with better subliminal messages.

    and (kind of related)
why hasn't mattel released the music from the toons?
licensing issues I'm sure...but it would be pretty rad to have the instrumental backgrounds...
i know pixel dan has them somehow...

EDIT: alright, I'm home! I enjoyed the commercial! Thanks! Hopefully I'll find 'em when you post the next one! Oh, and happy birthday!!!

Nice job on these! They really bring back memories. I recently checked out your motucfigures.com site. You've got some great stuff on there.

Thanks! This new one actually uses the original audio from the vintage Trap Jaw commercial. Since all the figures in that commercial are available, I didn't have to make any changes. Making the scenes fit the audio was a bit of a challenge though... I tried to make each shot match its vintage counterpart as closely as possible.

Can I put in a request for an Adora commercial (maybe featuring Bow or Catra)?
