not pleased with the radioactive color tones and red eyes, i preferred the muted look and dark skull features greatly over this.
I FULLY SUPPORT THE INCLUSION OF ILLUMINA IN MOTUC!
"I mark the hours every one, Nor have I yet outrun the Sun. My use & value unto you, are gauged by what you have to do."
Enscribed onto Hermione Granger's Time Turner from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Im so ashamed now
The color of Demo-Man is indeed a little bummer but he is able to compensate that through his awesome sculpt and accessories.
The star sisters are still just some relatively plain sculpted girls with just some glittery star staffs. Give them some real weapons and armaments and im in![]()
Maybe that could compensate some of those girlstoylinecolors.
But its true, i would prefer a color change for Demo-Man and maybe i´ll repaint one.
I think Matty must be colorblind.
Only one of anybody.
I like the g2 green. It's like he's an emphemeral, ghostly figure...which to be fair isn't that what he's supposed to be? He's a demon.
If nothing else he'll give scareglow a run for his money and my ghostbusters someone to fight.
Always in the market for Painted Backgrounds from the Filmation MOTU + She-Ra Toons, Bravestar, Blackstarr.
I'm fine with Demo-Man even neon, radioactive green. But here's what I mean when I say he reminds me of a twisted Orc dude and I wouldve preferred a darker, more muted green:
Yes, I've been playing Skyrim and it's an awesome game.![]()

BLÅÇK FLØWËRŠ!!!!
Demo-Man looks amazing. He's always been bright green - when he was displayed in the Mattel booth at SDCC, I even thought then he was really bright, so it didn't come as a surprise that the actual figure would be the same.
The Alcala head is so spooky looking, it may become my default Skele head.
I agree that he is WAY too bright. Would have preferred a more muted dead green color like the original prototype photo. He is going to detract from the other figures, IMO.
Might have to display him next to Vikor separately
In my opinion complaining about a few shades difference on the color spectrum is just ridiculous. I think the bright colors look great with this toyline. Sy klone, gygor, scare glow, and merman are good examples of bright vibrant figures that make this line attractive to the eye. If it were all dull and bland would we even have a toyline where he-man wore black leather armor and skeletor wore plack armor and had a black staff? Colors are a staple of the motuc line and I see no problem with demo-man.
Looks almost the same in the picture compairing the two above anyway. Look at his hand in the right side and compair it to the one on the left. Looks close to me

Thanks again for, yet another flawless review. I still never make a MOTUC purchase without first viewing your reviews. I check daily for your MOTUC reviews, and yes, have been watching your advent toy reviews too!![]()
I never paid much attention to the figure; I realized he is bright but not the same bright as half the tackle in my fishing gear. He isn't green, he is chartreuse. I may pick up a second to try to give him a heavy dose of washes to mute him to more of an ork color. Also, the short length of the loin cloth looks a little silly with his long beard.
Yup yup! I'm glad you said it because I was going to say it. It seems like whenever a new figure comes out, everyone is there to just rip on it. Maybe some people aren't even complaining but just have some suggestions... either way it gets old people.
I don't need to go over this really but of course the shades are different from prototype to final product.

I hear you. Sometimes the negativity can seem overwhelming on message boards. All you can do is skip the comments you find tiresome and add your own positivity to try and balance the scales a bit. I find that when you single out a particularly vocal complainer of a message board poster, they only complain more and get all weirdly self righteous about it. It goes nowhere and you end up with even more complaints.

So, what you're saying is that my dislike of neon green demons is offset by your acceptance of said shade?
Sounds reasonable to me...
While I did post both, this was what I was referring to...wasn't being clear.
THIS is what we should be getting...not something from Circus Ice Cream...

Hey guys,
It looks like I have to step in and give another friendly reminder here.
Every board member has the right to post both positive and negative feelings toward the final MOTU product. It's product that we're all spending our money on. As long as the complaints are kept respectful and constructive, then we're all for people posting them. Complaining about something that is wrong often gets results. Just look at She-Ra 2.0.
What we do not permit here is the name calling of others for "whining," "crying," or anything of the sort. Please keep in mind that this is strictly disallowed, and can result in warnings and/or suspensions.
Please respect your fellow board members. Remember, you can always utilize the ignore feature, or even simply not visit negative threads.
Thanks!

Great review Dan. Love the shades...those would be a nice accessory for Demo-Man. Can't wait to get him. As for the color I'll make my judgment about it when the figure is actually in hand.

Excellent review, Dan, really! Every single feature is covered, great work with the new black background. One of your best reviews!
At first I didn´t like it but the neon green is growing on me. Looks like it was the 4H intention to make it reeaally bright. I like it because it reminds me of these guys:

the green is so bright, is the character made of the slime of the Slime Pitt??
