i don't get it if they still have them why not post them in the store?

Reducing the production numbers would be logical for Mattel.

1. They don't overproduce figures like Gygor or Palace Guards

2. If there are fast sellouts in 2012, people would again buy more subs for 2013, like they did in 2010 after the massive 5-minute-sellouts.

You see at the number of remaining Tytus, Gygor & Palace Guards at Black Friday that Mattel doesn't have a feeling for a good production amount of figures besides the sub numbers.

After 3 years, you see what they thought in 2010 to produce Gygor, Mo-Larr Set & Palace Guards. They thought, they would sell amazing! They didn't. Now they sit on the figures and don't know what to do with them.

Reducing the production is the only way to insure, Mattel didn't produce thousands of figures over fan demand.

I'll never understand the need to yank things off the website and then put them back on some time later...

I remember TG commenting on how they still had (either She-ra, or Adora) at conventions that weren't selling... so the demand must not be there....

While I was sitting at home and would have LOVED to buy one... I went about 8 months before I could get my hands on a She-ra... but they have them sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

If you have product to sell.... Sell it!!

I would like to know, if they reduce production of Granamyr in relation to other figures.

He's not in the sub, so Mattel better not overproduce him, like they did with Gygor & Mo-Larr.

I doubt that several thousand fans will buy him for a yet not revealed price. Due to other figure prices raise, his 80$-price will surely raise, too... If you add shipping costs, especially for international fans and customs, there are MANY fans who pass on this. It would be around 110-120€ here in Germany!

I would produce maybe 2000-3000 of him and take the risk of having him sellout fast! They can break their promise and re-release him every time, if there is a demand!

Better than having 5000 units sitting around in the halls of Mattel!

As others have mentioned, if Mattel had/has all of this overstock sitting around that they end up marking down for clearance sales or those cheap bundle sales, why don't they just leave the items up for sale on the site instead of indicating that the figs are "Sold Out"? I hear of people all the time stating that they're new to the line and have gone to Matty's site, but nothing is available to purchase. Then, a couple of months later Matty has a huge sale that lasts a day (or less) to get rid of overstock. I don't get it.

i think dr only has so much space for motuc and they need to clear it before each sale date.

and sorry but Hasbro store is 100% better then Matty they have lots of 10% off codes some times free shipping lots of stock and no RSOD

Can you imagine if MATTEL ran grocery stores or departement stores with that kind of mentality?? Food, clothing, and other necessities would only be stocked 1 day out of a month, and extremely limited it at that.

No. While we will include some Classic-sized version of 200X armor and weapons we won’t be doing 200X versions of figure’s heads or bodies. All the looks for MOTUC will be based on the Classic look which is a modern update on the vintage design.

I am sorry I do not shop online to chase figures unless the figure is no longer on sale in stores. Then the only part of that chase is finding the price I want to pay. And how with the way their site work has is spreading out everything helping the shopping exprense. The only thing that spreading out figures is helps is its helps them make more money on their overpriced shipping and handling.

I have bought so much from HTS.com..more than I will ever buy at Matty, for one the shipping is better and faster...occasionally they have pre-orders...the only way at the time to get my hands on a Transformers RTS Grapple...and actually still never came across one, because I don't get out enough to find the secondary stores (TJ Maxx..blah blah) that the RTS line went to...But I always got my orders within 5 days of ordering in stock items...including confirmation waits....and even they will charge you for one order...even if something ends up back ordered..they only charge you ONE shipping fee, and send the rest of your order later. Unlike Matty seems to be able to do...DR sucks, and always will..I have bought stuff from little hole in the wall sites that run to the post office to ship, and still get stuff faster than Matty.

I agree. Mine has a few cracks in it and I never even touched the damn thing! Should have been made of the same bendy "plastic" as King Hiss' snakes...instead of left over Stay Pufts...

It's not made of the Stay Puft material. If it were made up of that they would all be dented and dinged from top to bottom.
