I have to agree. While I'm happy for the fans who wanted her as number one, I just don't get the hype.

Probably because Scott said she wasn't coming any time soon and wasn't even being considered for a spot in the lineup. This fan's choice may be the only way she gets made into a figure, but I guess that can be said of many of the characters in this poll.

I agree with this. Can someone post a link of some sort, to ANYTHING that explains why you guys are so nuts over her? because hawke, demon red/green or huntara seemed like far more logical picks.

She's a political figure.

While there were fans of the Illumina artwork before all of this controversy, Mattel didn't want to make her. The various excuses are either: Illumina is really obscure, Mattel didn't like her storyline or Mattel only wanted to honor the work of CURRENT Mattel employees, not past employees who have contributed to MOTU. This backfired as the fans didn't like Mattel flat out refusing to make characters. Over time, Illumina's status as a possible figure has softened to "we'll make her, but not right now" to "we'll make her if you can get 5000 signatures" to this poll.

That is why Illumina is so popular.

If I got it messed up, please correct me. In the meantime, here's info on Illumina. I'll have to update the entries to get every post on her, but it's a start.

She is to some, but most folks just like her her design and they like her mystery.

If she won though, it means fans (or at least those reading He-Man.org) really want and like her.

It's the truth, folks. Illumina has had a following ever since she showed up in the comic. That's eight years of interest building. Then the way she was addressed in Q&As over the years only served to build more and more interest in her.

If she didn't win, the shoe would be on the other foot and I'd be consoling Illumina fans. It's all relative.

I'll take a figure of Illumina, Huntara, Hawke and Geldor!

I think the real question now is going to be this: How firm are we going to stand in support of Illumina if (well, when is probably a better word) Mattel puts her up against Ram Man, Spikor, or other such big names? I personally would like to think that I'll stick to my guns and vote Illumina over any other character that will definitely get made at some point. I'll just need support from you guys if there are any POP ladies on the list (especially Mermista).

Sorry to the Scrollos fans that he didn't do better--I know he was a major character in that canon and I think he would have been a cool character and toy.

VERY surprised and bummed Garn didn't do better--I thought he would since he had both mini-comic and Filmation appearances, and was awesome in both!

Glad Illumina won, but I am sad to see Strobo so far down the list. I expected to see more love for him.

Hopefully since he's little more than a repaint with a cape (in fact is he JUST a repaint with a cape?) we can still see him made.
