Hey after reading thru the Power & Honor foundation book and seeing the pic of He-Man riding a Red Gygor it would make sense to have a ying to his yang and have like a Gorilla Grodd and a Solovar type confrontation.
It makes more sense having Good Gygor type,Oo-Larr & Green Goodess to defeat Gygor & his Beastmen because Gygor is too powerful a force.
I wish I could post the picture form the book but I think it would be deleted.
I wanted this even before Mattel made Gygor a bad guy

I dont know anything about a red Gygor so I cannot comment. I do want an Oolar if it is specificly the basically nekkid barbarian savage from the minicomics. I did know about the gorilla mount gygor before, and was supprised when he became a villain but never saw a red refrence.

I think that's Red Beast, not the red Gy-Gor drawing. Although they all might have been the same idea originally for Beast Man.

I would absolutely support a "red Gygor" (but also a Red Beast) and I agree with the others in the thread, new armor and head would be absolutely requisite. I know some are not crazy about the body, but I adore Gygor and even more so, Shadow Beast. Let's get some Ice Hackers too, Vikor requires them.
There are 2 similar concepts art, but are not the same. The bear is the proto Beast-Man.
There was a red "Gy-gor" using the gorilla buck.
I also want the backpack accesory for carrying figures in order to compensate the extra armor that Gy-gor had.

My thoughts exactly. GYGOR doesn't need a nemesis that matches him physically; I rather like the idea of an unbalanced battle. But those concept drawings really make me want toys of them.

i would like oolar but not another ape beast.
I'd take almost any other possible character before another My Little Gorilla in the line.
Red Beast would be cool though once we've had some more important characters/beasts/vehicles like The Mantisaur, Modulok, Evil Robot, Sky Sled, Night Stalker, Roton etc.

To be honest I'm not sure if I would buy this. The beast size items are really expensive so I'd rather get ones I really want like Stridor and Night Stalker before the 'would be nice' ones like this guy.

Agreed. I love the ape mold. Give me a red Gygor (mine would still be evil) and blue or purple Shadowbeast.
The pic with HM on his back with all the guns looks kinda lame though. Riding a gorilla for some reason doesn't seem that cool. Go figure...
