Condition of your December 2011 Figures, in good or bad shape?

I know there is a wait for orders shipped with Demo-Man, but I noticed some are already getting Evil-Lyn and Wind Raider because of separate orders...so I decided to post the poll now, to get a head start....vote away!!!

Here is the second monthly poll for your figure conditions!.....

This poll is to determine how your December day of / sub figures arrived, were they damaged?
Were they missing something or have wrong parts, or paint problems?
Not for any re-issues that may be released, only for day of new original release figures.

And the poll is multiple choice, just so you know, pick all that applies to you!

December Figures were:
Demo Man (Sub)
Battle Ground Evil-Lyn (Sub)
Wind Raider


Poll choices:
Package issues
was your figures box or card damaged, or the bubbles.

Figure issues
was your figure damaged, broken, loose joints, bobble head, or apart in the package, ie head popped off etc..

Paint issues
was your figure not painted correctly, or have globs of paint, or spots in wrong places.

Missing pieces
was your figure missing something, arm, head, accessory etc....

Wrong pieces
did your figure have 2 left legs, or backwards shoulders etc...

I was satisfied with the condition

For Wind Raider only
Since Wind Raider has no picture window, and many collect MISB
I am not opening the box...MISB

For "Mint In Package" collectors...you can still vote based on what you see in the package,
you can tell by a visual inspection, except for a few things, so vote accordingly....and if you are satisfied,
choose that option, this is how I vote as mine are all MISB / MOSC.


I have to wait until my BG Evil-Lyn ships with Demo-Man to vote.........

I am going to vote good shape on all even though I have NOT gotten them yet. But I am hoping thats how they come to me is in good shape ready for me to open.

The only thing I ordered was WR, and I opened it. It looks pretty darn good compared to some pictures of what I've seen on here. So I consider myself lucky. The only thing really wrong with it is that there's a little smudge in the paint of the greenish/goldish band right in front of the control panel. Also, when I was putting it together the whole thing was a little sticky. I had to make sure that I was careful.

In all, I am satisfied. Never had WR as a kid, but sure am glad I have it now!!

Keeping my WR MISB. Until I can buy another to open. As for the other 2 sub. figures. Have not received them yet.

They changed the white mailer box for Demo-Man. They made it smaller. The figure fits in the box very, very tightly. They also didnt include the piece of tissue paper to protect the plastic. All 3 of my DM figures have a bent upper right corner. I dont know why they decided the box needed to be changed, but it was for the worse, is seems. I dont know why Mattel cant leave good enough alone and have to screw with things that werent broken and not fix the things that are??

The only thing I can think is that maybe it will reduce cost in the long run and then we can cite it as a reason for them not to cheap out.

All good for me. I think by the time these figures get sent to Australia the assembly guys and painters have figured out the style and practised enough to get them perfect.

My only issue was Evil-Lyn's staff was bent pretty bad in the packaging.

Both Demo-Man and BG Evil-Lyn were good for me. The only problem I had was with the Wind Raider and that was because it had a line of yellow "goop" on the wing tip. I don't want to touch it for fear of what it really might be...

FInally got Demo & BGEL today, and I nothing wrong except EL's one leg is turned a little sideways in the pkg, and her staff top is a little bent due to packaging.

Wind Raider and Demo were more or less perfect. BGEL came with a horrible flaking of silver paint off her black orb holder. It was split all the way down and black showing through with flakes all around.

Wind Raider, BG Evil-Lyn and Demo Man are all in great satisfying conditions

I do have to mention Package issues on Demo Man.
His backer card got slightly damaged because of the newer smaller mailer box.
I am a loose collector so it doesn't effect me much.

"Satisfied" is not the word...
To be honest, these 3 items are some of the best quality items I've received in the line to date.

Right up there with MAA, Mer-Man, and Trap-Jaw as far as build quality/paint apps/etc. No loose joints, perfect paint apps, and even mint packaging.

Actually I have no issues myself with Demo & BGEL, I didn't open EL, but I was originally going to resell Dem after getting the Skeletor head, but after opening him, I loved him, so nice and tight, and well made, of the few loose figures I have Demo is the tightest behind a Palace Guard I got for parts for my 2 customs, which the PG buck is now my Filmation MAA custom. So aside from a bent top on the staff due to packaging, EL is just fine, and Demo could not have been better.

So I kept the package hinged at the bottom for Demo & inside a ZW case, he is now only MOC, but I can get to him any time I want, and thanks to the ZW case, he appears MOSC.

Again, pretty much satisfied with all three and again, apart from the lengthy wait i have no issues with these three. Almost worth the wait...
