Agreed. They have no problem charging us multiple shipping when we buy, so if it's their fault then they should cover it. Its just good business.

I'm sure I'm not the only subscriber whose December Club Eternia/Club Ecto-1 combo shipment was supposed to be a Christmas present, and Mattel's bungling has put a monkey-wrench in the gift-giving plans.

Rather than eating the shipping costs of Demo-Man for their most loyal customers, Mattel has screwed over the subscribers by holding back all the orders until January. This company needs to understand that this does not make for happy customers or good business.

You did wrong by us, Mattel, and we will remember this the next time subscriptions are for sale.

this is part of the reason why i did not re-subscribe for 2012 ... whilst monetary/financial stuff may be a walk in the park for some folks on here, i struggle with maths and monetary values so when ever DR/mattel screw this up, i just get extremely confused and lost with ghost-charges coming in/out of my account ...

Making my post-Christmas credit card payment (ouch!) I noticed today that my order from MattyCollector is not there anymore for Demo-man and BGEL; not in the pending category, the last statement, or since last statement categories.

Given their track record, this will be fun.

It's not supposed to be there. The original charge is simply an authorization that will drop off. The actual charge doesn't come until they ship the figures, which won't be until 2012 this time.

I still want to know what really happened.

I don't buy the "delay" thing because if it were a shipping delay, they'd probably have updated when the figures would be sent out to customers.

I think there was something wrong with the figure. Maybe it had reverse legs or shoulders or something. That would have been DEVASTATING.

The funny thing is that if this WERE the reason, Scott should have told everyone. Then he would have looked great. Instead, we are all, once again, incredibly frustrated with Mattel.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Demo-Man we're sent back for correction. I get the feeling that he and Vikor are almost ego-projects for Scott - like part of some legacy he hopes to leave for MOTU. Vikor was one of the highest quality controlled items in the line. He feels and looks more expensive than many of the other figures. Demo-Man looked the same way at the cons.

Now two weeks late and not a word from Mattel. Didn't we all pay for a subscription for December 2011... not 2012? A weekly update would have been acceptable. Silence is not.

RockinHard: It has been two weeks since the sale date. Do you have a date or update as to when these figures will ship out to the customers who bought them?

Toyguru: They should be arriving in our distributor center over the next week and sent out in early Jan. as soon as we have any more specifics we will post ASAP!

I have a strong feeling they will end up shipping at the SAME time as our January stuff, or AFTER. I just don't foresee it being before.

I think they will probably ship the week prior to the sale, if they are coming into distribution next week then Digital River won't see them at least till the 1/6-1/10

At that point they should just hold them all and ship them at the same time as Jan's subscription and charge only one shipping fee for both subs

Yeah we all know that will happen

It would be nice to offer to eat the overpriced shipping, and merge it..but they won't....won't even offer as a gesture of good faith because of the screw up on their part...I mean you know they as the main company are responsible for their vendors....or at least offer free shipping on your next Matty purchase...But DR would just screw that up anyway, and claim it was never put in their system for the free shipping.....

Yes me too, but when you think about it, What do people who don't collect action figures see us as? And what are we if we continuously let Mattel get away with being shady? It's a phrase that although wasn't translated into English properly still holds much light onto what is being discussed lately.
