BGEL and Demo-Man have shipped!!

Things happen and I'm not fussed for the DM delay.

But holding up BGEL because of it it's just insulting!

Every non sub-standards customer service would have shipped the available figure and bear the cost of shipping the delayed one..expecially after they charged us beforehand!

Just got a renewal notice for both figures that we won't be getting.

My sympathies to everyone who was expecting to get figures before Xmas, but as a UK customer who doesn't expect anything shipped around the holiday period to arrive until late Jan / early Feb, a delay of two or three weeks really isn't a big deal. I suppose international customers have a different perspective on these things! I'm still waiting for a BP She-Ra from November. She may arrive this week, but I'm not expecting my sale orders to arrive until next year. I can be patient. Doesn't forgive Mattel for not noticing 10,000 DMs hadn't arrived and making a stupid joke about it though.

I must be the only sub holder to benefit from this whole debacle. This actually works just fine for me as I'll be away from home round-about when the figures would arrive here. Was actually panicking, wondering who I could get to collect my mail. But lo and behold! Now the figures shall arrived when I am safely returned from the clutches of Australia.

Sucks for the rest of you guys though. I will admit, I was fuming earlier, till I realised my good fortune.

Good lord. Why does there have to be something wrong every single month? I love their solution to just pay their ridiculous shipping charges twice if you want the other items sooner, problem solved. Seriously Mattel, get your act together.

I agree with all the other posts, that Matty should have known before today that there was going to be a problem with the shipping if the product wasnt available. For me, it was the wording in their message, saying "We think when you see the final Demo-Man figure you'll agree he was worth the wait."


I don't know, to me that sounds like there is something changing.... because if the final product was the one sent out for reviews, most all of us have already seen it. Unless there is something else that they are just not telling us.

Also, don't forget that their delay in this case means that we'll be getting the figures after two months instead of the usual one

So much for all the bunk about the quarterly bonus's being made to fill a gap if something is delayed.

I'm wondering if there's even the minutest chance my sub 'failed' on saturday because someone at DR knew about the delay and stopped the payment..
Im getting really annoyed talking to customer services with them completely ignoring the line 'I called my credit card company and there's nothing wrong with my card and no charge was attempted' to be replied with 'you need to contact your credit card company' Can't these people read??

Back on topic.. yes, they should ship Lyn with subs and hold Demo back to ship with the january sub. That would be the fairest thing to do rather than leave people with nothing in the final month. *tosses matty the ball and watches him drop it, yet again*

Mattel should be shipping BGEL to customers and keeping the charge for the product. They should eat the shipping on Demo-Man in January. This will mess everything up for a lot of people if they charge us for December's figures in January and then 1 week or 2 weeks later they charge for January's figures.

I thought they had back-up products for situations like this? Why not just send us BGEL and the Sorceress for December and use Demo-Man as the January figure?

We were always told they had bonus figures and other figures for any situation when a monthly figure has a problem with shipment or is delayed. Why are we not having one of these back up figures now?

I am sure The Sorceress is in the shipment facility. Just ship her with BGEL. This is ridiculous.

Mattel is making me mad, I have two subs and I won't be receiving my BGEL until January because they obviously lied about having back-up figures for monthly figure delays.

I would much rather my card stay charged now, then be charged for two months of products in one month.

I think the back-up figure plan is not in the cards anymore, now that we screamed for SHIP IT ALL AT ONCE! Guess they had to choose between giving us a figure a month or ship it all together and they went with the latter.

I would also prefer that they ship out BGEL now! Together with the Sorceress would be really welcomed, but this is not possible due to logistics, since probably not all 2011 sub-holders have a 2012 sub. Well I do, but this would be become more of a problem than the situation right now.

Anyhow we are the ones who are screwed and I guess we'll gotta eat it.

They better have enough WR in stock to make this even!

EACH and EVERY month Mattel/ DR find a way to goof up! I am actually no longer surprised by their continuous failures and lack of customer service. That is what they are known for, right? What WOULD surprise me is if they went out of their way to make things right by their customers for a change.

I want to know what happened because this "didnt come into the warehouse" is obviously a cover for some other mistake. LIke the other time when "only half came in" so they sold the "other half when it showed up".

At any rate I'm assuming there is something wrong with the final product and for some reason it's better to say they are late on delivery again rather than say what is wrong.

Yeah, Demo-Man being delayed is one thing, BUT witholding BG Evil-Lyn subs from shipping until January is punishing subscribers.
