The old plug in that reduced and enlarged the pics in the posts wasn't working with the new version of vBulletin.
So we had to disable it. I installed another plug in yesterday that does the same job. Images in posts will diplay not larger than 500 px, and you can click on top of them to open a larger version in another window.

Also, the upgrade seems to have reset the built in vBulletin file resizer. I adjusted the settings yesterday and now only images wider than 2000 px will be resized (but will still show up at 500 px in the posts).
Unfortunately, all the files uploaded between the upgrade and yesterday have been permanentely resized. If you want larger versions of thos epics, you'll have to reupload your attachments. But this shouldn't happen anymore from now on.

Also, as some may have noticed, I also have enabled the attachement thumbnails function: all images posted as attachment are now displayed as thumbnails (instead of links) and open in a lightbox when you click on them (with the option of opening full size if you click on the lightbox again)

We hope these solves all the issue and we apologize for the inconveniences.

Why is there no break between the different forums? Its super bothersome on the eyes. I have gone to the "english forums" but sometimes when I click back it takes me back to the messed up eye strained version.

Will that be fixed or are we outta luck?

It's how the new vBulletin works. I looked for hacks to change that, but yes, we're outta of luck right now, we'll have to get used to it.

There was nothing wrong with the previous one at all, it did everything that you want from a forum.

You can no longer see who is in chat and when you go in to the chatroom you now have to manually log in instead of it being automatic, inserting images is more of a chore then it should be now and having thumbnails that popup into little windows is not very good imo and on the front page of the forums that thing on the right hand side that tells you the "latest" posts seems to always be 5 hours (or more) behind the actual forums.

A number of reasons. What comes to mind right away is

• Security issues
• Old forum not supported anymore by vBulletin
• A need to integrate with facebook and mobile applications to generate more traffic and be up to date with the rest of world

Just for the record: the who's in the chat, was a plug in, not even part of the original vBulletin software. It might be back, dependending if the chat software is updated or not to work with the new vBulletin.
Inserting images isn't different than before and I don't get what's wrong with getting thumbnails for the attachments while before there was no thimbnails at all.
The lightbox for the attachment is somethign that has been out there almost everywhere, I understand someone may not like it, but I'm sure it's very useful for many other.
The blocks on the homepage are something new in this vBulletin version, we're just experimenting with them. You're not forced to use those instead of the old "new posts" link

Guys, in all honestly: this update costed us a lot of money and work. If it wasn't necessary, we woulnd't have done it.

I know. Seems like there is already a fix in the work for this in 4.1.10 (our is 4.1.9)

We'll play with those until they become useful, there are settings that can be adjusted. We just couldn't know how they would have behaved until we tried them.

Have you tried clearing your cache and He-Man.org cookie files? I'm not having any problem, and you technically shouldn't either And I believe both of us are using Chrome.

Also, are you omitting the www from the front of the he-man.org address? If you do this, you may get that error.

I still can't add anymore pics to my personal page. I know I had room left for pics being a Gold Member before the changes to the website. Whenever I try to upload a pic I get:

"The following errors have occurred:

Well, being the creative genius that I am, I actually have 14 photo albums on here. 11 albums have 40 pictures each, 1 album has 51 pics, 1 album has 59 pics and the last album has 75 pics. Whenever I try to upload a new pic into an album, I get the error message. I tried to create a new album and put a pic in there, but it gave me the same error message. Plus, whenever I try to upload an image to place into one of my posts in the forum, it also gives me the same error message.

when i click new posts, i'm taken to the search screen, but i can't click read new again until i go to a different screen (back, or click forum, or click in a thread). that whole blue bar with these links is blank (after clicking new posts):

Well, I'm not sure where to find the answer to your question but when I try to upload a pic, on the upload menu screen it says I have 57.14 MB of 28.61 MB used. I guess that's the best I can do. I got a total of 755 files on here.

You have a limit of 1000 images.
So, check the dimensions of the image you are uploading. It can be no more than 1100 pixels large on the biggest side.

Weird. So that menu just disappears? That's odd. that may be a bug in vB 4.x Is that the only place it happens?

Definitely after the upgrade. I had just uploaded my recent Captain Calavera pics to the Winter 2011/2012 Picture Thread without a hitch. Then the upgrades came and I tried to upload the pics straight to my photo album and nothing. Error message!

I just set it to a max appropriate to the limit. Please try that out and lemme know what it says .

Nope. No good. Still same error message. The pic I'm trying to upload is 1.51 MB which is the usual size I upload when it comes to personal pics. The other files I have in my albums from personal pics are re-sized to 120 - 190 KB. Not sure if that info is relevant...

I think 175K is the max size you can upload for any image.

Try uploading a file under the size and see what happens, if ya would.
