The bicep may have been part of a mold that was tooled separately than the rest of Fisto (so that it could easily be cast in any skin color). There could in fact be a left version of that bicep to be used in an upcoming figure. That bicep could easily be used by Ram Man or any other bulky type characters. If the bicep wasn't cast in the same exact mold as the rest of the body, it could explain the color difference.

Yeah, I'd say it's almost certainly the same thing as Tri-Klops' forearm....
It was a new piece and thus shares a mold with some of his other new pieces (sword, fist, belt).
Thus it is easier (and cheaper) to mold all those pieces in one colour. They picked the colour that worked best for the majority of the pieces. Which is why Tri-Klops forearm is green like his sword and armor. Fisto's bicep is probably silver under the fleshtone paint.
Just speculation of course, but I'd be surprised if there was any other explanation.
Also, I corrected the thread title... Pay attention, Danny boy!![]()

This is one of the best figures so far. If they top this this year I will be stoked!

This is MOTUC perfection! I love this fugure - so excited!
Well Dan, this review had me smiling. Your excitement was so obvious! I have to agree I'm very impressed with the way they executed this figure, though I disagree with you on saying that everyone will be excited to own him - POP fans, maybe not so much
You're right in saying that this is exactly what the MOTUC line should be about. Very impressive figure!
Hey Dan, awesome review as always. I have one question that I hope you can answer me, does Fisto's skintone match any of the other released figures skintone?
Catching up to your videos, Dan.
This was a great review of Fisto. The figure itself appears to be one of the finest examples of what MOTUC as a line should strive for.
Am very tempted to get a figure for myself in mid-February. We'll have to see...
Thanks for this awesome video! Great attention to details!![]()

I hadn't noticed the painted upper arm; hopefully, it will match the skin tone. Given some of Mattel's recent figures, sometimes things molded in what are supposed to be matching colors...don't (as anyone with the Legion set's Brainiac 5 and Saturn Girl can attest). I do see why, though, as has been explained by others with regard to the mold usage. I imagine we'll get the other bicep in gold when they get around to making Jitsu.
I will give the Fab Four credit for such attention to detail here; it makes perfect sense for Fisto's right arm to be more developed carrying that hand around, but I never would have thought of it, or included it in the figure as they did. And kudos to Mattel for actually letting them, given how much new stuff Fisto already has. It's a small detail, but a meaningful one that adds a lot to the figure in my eyes.

Dan, does the 200X sword fit in Tytus hand? Any chance of a pic of Tytus holding the sword?

Awesome! I'm glad to see the return of 200X elements and especially on Fisto! Can't wait for the release of his archnemesis, Lego.
So close but so far for Fisto... won't have him on hand till mid-late March. Great figure all round!

Got a Fisto in hand... (From Toyfair)
Sure enough, his fist does come off, no glue, it does take a good pull though.
It helps to warm it up a little then pinch the sides some and pull. POP! Pretty cool! Goes back on no problem. Hoping they'll do this with Jitsu!

Anybody else having trouble with the screen-format of blip.tv right now? Everything is slanted to the right, so parts of the picture is cut off.
I'm sorry, but I can't watch this, not like this.
Anybody know how to fix this? It's the same in Firefox as well as Internet Explorer.
fisto review screencap.jpgIf part of the picture is allegedly cut off, then the part that remains looks complete enough to me that it's watchable. But maybe that's just me. What am I missing?
Fire bad. Fire burn toys!
Hmmm...everything looks fine on my end right now. Maybe I should start using a smaller scaled player for the forums posts? It might be that your settings ony our monitor have it so this player is too big, thus cut off?
If you want, you can watch the YouTube version. Just follow the link in my signature to my Youtube Channel and you should be able to find it on the MOTU Playlist.![]()

I don't have time to visit the forums so much at present so am pretty late at wading in with my comments, but great figure! (And great review, PD).
This is one of the figures I'm really excited about, and unless anything seriously unexpected is released later in the year, will more than likely be my favourite 2012 release in the line.
For whatever reason, I didn't have the vintage Fisto figure as a child (which is odd - I always liked the more human-like, gladiator or knight style characters), but when I started to "collect the vintage line" properly on the second hand market in the 1990s, he was one of the first that I looked back and realised how awesome he was.
This is surely one of the ultimate MOTUC releases. The sculpt is perfect, capturing and updating the original, plus so many darned options. Although if I have to choose I'm of the camp that believes "MOTUC should reflect vintage style", I love that we're able to choose so many 200x elements if we want.
The giant 200x sword... the only thing I'm not too sure about. Don't get me wrong, I like that this style is included, but it is way oversized and out of keeping with the line, and kinda reminds me of that horribly warped 200x scale which I didn't really like about that line. Really cool sword, but I would have prefered to have seen it in a more "realistic" vintage / classics size. Likewise, the sheath looks too big and clunky - though I do like when attachments are made to store weapons on figures.
The bio... well other than his real name being "Malcom" (seriously?), it does the job. Personally, if it were to be expanded, I'd think there would be room to adapt Fisto's Filmation origin episode, "Fisto's Forest", where He-Man encounters Fisto who is initially a bitter thug (kinda similar in vein to the classic "He-Man Meets Ram-Man" mini-comic). When Fisto had amnesia in thie Mystic Mountains, He-Man's first encounter with the then-bad Fisto from the Filmation canon could be adapted explained here, and Fisto's bad character explained as a result of his amnesia.
This figure is what the Classics is all about. Probably in my Top 5 releases, and I don't even have the guy yet! Here's hoping we see evil counterpart, the famously little-used Jitsu, so square up against Fisto sometime soon.
