Will Granamyr's sellout time will be "okay"?

The Wind Raider wasn't in the sub.

Granamyr isn't in the sub, too...

So, if one of the most iconic vehicles only sold out "well" at a pricepoint of 45$, how will Granamyr perform at 80+ Dollar?

I want Grany for sure but the 80 DOLLA price point really makes me question wether or not Im gonna bite the bullet on sale day. The sub is already pretty pricey, an extra 80 bucks on top of that can really dent the bank account. I dont see him selling out as quick as the Wind Raider thats for sure, I will not decide for sure until I see him. Something tells me I will have a good idea come NYTF though.

I honestly don't care, there is only a handful of figures/characters as large as him so if he were to fail that would not bother me at all.

They already have kind of a guide with Staypuft, so if they error and make too many or don't make any profit its just not looking at past experience.

i honestly think granamyr will bomb, i won't be buying him ...

if mattel think that one of the top toys of 2011 was only "okay" when it sold out in 3 days, then i fear for the big dragon thing ...

i wouldn't say i don't care about granamyr either (even though i actually don't care that much about the character itself) because if sales keep being "okay" and not meeting mattels projected expectations, it doesn't look good in the future ...

matty is killing international customers like me. at this price point and not in sub, im glad i have a choice of not to buy.

I know they have estimated that Granamyr will cost around $80, but I really wouldn't be surprised if he actually hit the $100 mark.

Toyguru's self-created Beast (coming soon! you heard it here first!) will be based on another Scooby-Doo character. It will do "rokay".

It only does not look good for the future for untested things, Granamyr bombing does not endanger the standard figures and beasts.

yeah i guess ... i just think the prospect of say, a castle grayskull (which i know will most likely never happen) never seemed so far off ever happening ...

Won't be good enough for Mattel.

First it's Hasbro cancelling the Star Wars comic packs because of their terrible distribution and very poor figure choices and blaming it on the fans for not buying them, now it's Matty telling us that a vehicle "underperformed" by selling out in 3 days.

I shake my head in disbelief.

I cant wait for Granamyr. As long as he's oversized, overpriced, and underproduced, I'm sure he'll be fine.

My main concern if Mattel shall release items like Granamyr or Wind Raider as wallet boundaries probes.
I figured that this kind of thought was generated in some Mattel marketing fella's mind: "If MOTUC fans spent $30 on Battle Cat, they sure will spend 50% more on a vehicle, 165% more on a larger beast and 300% on Castle Grayskull
