Thread: A curiousity - who has had good service and no problems from matty?

    I haven't had any major issues at all . Maybe with the postal service but nothing matty collector has done. I did go thorugh the long waits to get on and buy from the website in the past. But when i had a problem with a dc universe classics figure they fixed it for me. MOTU has been great for me!

    We're just talking about customer service issues from Matty right... not QC issues?

    Well, I've only had minor issues myself that eventually got resolved, but not without a lot of emailing from me!! And of course the obvious RSOD for popular figures.

    But I do know people (who aren't members here, so I'll speak for them) who have Subscribed and haven't received certain figures at all. That's right... I said "people" not "person". That's pretty poor IMO.

    while I wouldn't say my experience with Matty has been the greatest, to be perfectly fair, save for the ridiculous "authorizing" they do which gets taken off, and put back on...I really don't have any bigger problems with Matty that I don't pretty much experience on an epic scale with pretty much any company/person.

    Call it sad and unfortunate, but yeah.

    Yeah, it's a pain in the ass to get credit cards changed, and addresses changed, but I usually just call their escalation dept, and trust me when I tell you that I've been told I come off very intimidating, partially because I just don't take crap from people, especially in cases like this.

    I've kinda gotten used to working around stupid routines that I have to put up with, and it often really throws people off, and they even get angry with my response "take out the middle man".

    Basically, yeah I have issues with them...but again I pretty much have issues with everybody/every company I deal with.

    I had some not so good paint jobs. And a Griffin (out of 5) that's back leg wont stay on but I have never returned anything. They are all good enough to display. I love this line

    Two Years subbing thus far, signed up for 2013,
    No problems with Matty or DR
    No QC issues aside from paint apps that I find are generally fun to fix
    Only complaint would be reversed shoulders, too much work for me to fix, but I'm looking at Hssssss right now and he's my favorite snake man and I love him. So I don't really feel like I have anything to complain about. This has been the most rewarding and fun thing I've ever had a subscription for,

    Only with my Credit card issue in which I my sub was cancelled because my card was stolen and I had to replace it stat and it just happened to be during the pull times. Its hard to change credit cards on matty and I dont know why....

    The ONLY thing I have to remotely complain about is the fact that one of my three Spikors came with the wonky eyes. That is the only problem I have had ever. I have nothing to complain about.

    No problems here in Austria. Everything arrived with international post ... the first two figures took about 2 - 3 month and twice I had to pay customs duty but that's it. That's more of a statement regarding postal service, but therefore no special business with Matty.

    Roboto cracks a little bit but my kids do play with my Masters- so that's ok.

    I live in the UK and have subbed for the last 3 years using the cheapest non trackable shipping. Never had a problem with deliveries, everything has turned up in decent time and in good condition.

    During that time I've changed credit cards twice and moved house and changed address - all without a hitch.

    I've not subbed yet for 2013 however 99% will just holding off until the last week to see if there are any further developments.

    I'm from Spain and I have been collecting MOTUC since 2010. Never bought a sub (However, I'm considering doing it this year) so all my figures come from "day of" sales. (And some from resellers). So I've ordered more than twenty times at MattyCollector and I've never had any problem with it. Parcels have arrived almost always in reasonable times and figures never came with important QC issues.

    The worst experience I've had with Matty was this year's february, when Sorceress and Fisto took almost two months to arrive, but at the end they did (and in perfect condition). I think that many buyers had the same problem, but it's the only time. So I can say that in general I'm satisfied.

    Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

    I've never had any issues. Been able to buy all non sub items despite the WSOD. I still think shipping takes too long and there was one time where I noticed my package going back and forth across the country. I've never had to return an item either.

    Been buying since the beginning, and no big issues for me. Delays, like we all experienced, and I accidentally re-upped in January for a 3rd subscription for 2012... but I could have had that canceled, I chose not to.

    Also, my 3rd Griffin came with a broken leg last month. Matty has already taken it back and I'm awaiting my replacement. Easy peasy.

    I am an international buyer and I have been with this line since the start, I have never had an issue with any of my shipments. In recent months they take a while to arrive but they always get here. I have also been lucky enough that my goddess did not explode, my Roboto has no cracks and Swiftwind has the correct legs. I also got a friend of mine into collecting the line and he has had no problems so it must the luck of the Irish

    I am an international fan - living in Denmark. I had a sub in 2011, 2012 and now purchased one 2013 sub so far. Always used non-trackable method for shipping and the figs always arrived apporx one month after the sale day - no problem. No QC errors exept the reversed Roboto and King Hsss shoulders.
    I made a phone-call to DR once when I needed to change my credit card (in May this year) for a new one and was talking to a very nice girl. Everything went smooth.

    I considered to make another phone call and invite the DR girl for a date - but as I mentioned I live in Europe and I am sure she is from US. Crap!

    The only issue I have had was combining my 2012 and 30th sub. I needed to call twice but it was taken care of. All experiences have been sweet!

    I've had 2 subs since the beginning and have purchased day of sales too. No issues to speak of really as far as DR or the website. I had a card problem once when they charged so much on a single day but it was fixed within 24 hrs.
