Matty Site Got A Facelift!

I'm poking around some new stuff now... there's downloadable wallpapers, the first 2 ToyGuru Director's Commentaries are in a new section, etc. Looks like they're getting prepped up for SDCC!

Looking much better! The Toyguru commentaries really do deserve their own nice section like that.

Also the wallpaper downloads are great too. I hope they do LOTS of them....I mean I want a Spikor one. For now I'm rollin with the Beast Man one!

I could care less less if they're making the the site look "nicer". I go to the site only to buy MOTU and check my order status. Try working on actual customer service problems. Fixing shipping options,returns or changing addresses & credit cards easier. I mean c'mon.....it's always we're working on it. If all of these issues aren't resolved for next year(let's face it getting anything done this year isn't going to happen) sub people are going to be disappointed.

To be fair, I'm sure the visual facelift was part of the entire plan to revamp/update the site both functionally and aesthetically. So it's not an either/or situation. But I agree that hopefully this means all the changes and updates will be in place soon. It would be VERY good if they announced stuff like the "day of add-ons" and ability to change your shipping method and cards easily before SDCC.

That picture of Toyguru is really good too! It's my favourite picture of him besides the Zoolander model face he made in a screenshot I took from Attack of the Show (when he was showing how SDCC Orko worked

). Oh, and the "Killen Teh Lien!" shirt he wore while holding the Power Sword above his head!

Whoever is their graphic designer needs to be locked in a room with fundamentals of design books and be taught proper use of filters and typography.

I wonder how many fully tooled figures we lost paying for that update? I mean, if an $80 hd-camcorder can break the Matty advertising budget...

Seriously though, it's nice to see them doing something. It's nice to have wallpapers and such.

I don't see how they don't edit or proof read their site better. With characters still missing and Stinkor listed as a 30th Anniversary Series figure I wonder how much they paid the developer...

It is! I really like the three they have so far. In an ideal world, we'd get a wallpaper to go with each figure as the figures are released. (Roast Gooble Dinner does this with its podcasts!)

That page (from a user perspective) is so weird. They don't allow sorting of the wallpaper by character, but have alphabetical sorting for the sizes? They show the same image 8 times on the page for each size instead of just a LARGER version where you can actually SEE it with the sizes listed to the right or below it. DRs programmers really lack vision and creativity. I am a programmer and I feel sad just looking at the lack of effort.

On the Toyguru pages, they could have collapsed sections using CSS that could expand if a person wants to read that story instead of just stacking all of them on one page. Sad...

Love the fact that Stinkor was a 30th anniversary figure. Nice proofing by Mattel & DR. What a dream team!

Also, love that "Snake" MAA shows as the FIRST figure alphabetically because their sort method is using the italic formatting as part of the character's name. Well done (fools)!

I can't stop finding errors. They have the Wind Raider listed as the Club Eternia figure for November of 2011. Funny, I don't remember receiving that "figure".

Please keep in mind that he is Mutated Stinkor with reversed forearms. That figure did NOT exist in the original line.
