Aw man, here we go again with the QC issues.
Its killen teh lien!!!!
So my brother phoned me today to let me know that his Snout Spout trunk split... badly. He advised me to check mine and sure enough mine was broken as well. I had it propped up on his axe and I guess the material just can't handle being posed in a bent state for too long!
So if you have yours bent I suggest you leave it in a neutral position asap

Aw man, here we go again with the QC issues.
Its killen teh lien!!!!
I was afraid of that...
I bought TWO 2013 Subscription as support, because of the promise that showing support will ensure 2014 will include ALL the major POP and NA characters.
Hey Matty - what happened to all this quality testing you said you did on the trunk?
Most of us could tell the thing was going to crack once we had it in hand.
Hide & Seek Hordak does nothing to make collecting fun.
I expected a crack or two but for it to split this badly!?!!

The Return to Anwat Gar
I imagine one small crack started (went unnoticed) and the force of the trunk being dipped in the middle applied a small amount of force to one place, the crack kept going.
Unfortunately anyone that gets a crack will have to be extremely careful that it doesn't turn into a major split. It's great that Scott told us extensive QC testing was done on the material of the trunk. But a picture is worth 1000 Mattel promises.

Committed to bringing you the best quality figures possible!!
I left my wallet in El Segundo...
In before someone says that "this isn't a big deal."
Seriously! How are all ofyou finding these MOTUC problems?? Its like everyone has a "World Class Research Facility" in your their own home!!
Maybe Mattel just needs to make a 200x head and include it with another character as a bonus accessory!
Seriously, though, this is a pretty new figure and really should hold up to just being displayed. If this happened/happens to me, I'd try to geta refund or exchange.

"We have a Ram-Man"
This can go with all the others in the "surprises" thread I started a few weeks ago.
A Want List of Sorts:
Rokkon, Stonedar, Nepthu, Plundor, Sea Hawk, Strong-Arm, Dactys, Horde Troopers, Storm, Geldor, Modulok, Battle Ram, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Hydron, Glimmer, Eldor, Two Bad, Ninjor, Rio Blast, Mermista, Entrapta, Sweet Bee, Peekablue, Flutterina, Gorpo, Flogg, Crimson Fury, Songster, Lodar, Kex Queen, Goat Man, Darius, Uncle Montork, Dree-Elle
You should both send those cheap POS's back and demand replacements.
I keep mine in a neutral pose for fear of this very thing. I was afraid to move it around too much even upon initial receipt.
Pathetic. Just....pathetic.
Pixel Dan warned us in his review...
Last important characters: Two Bad, Tung Lashor, Squeeze, Modulok, Horde Trooper
This is your Snout Spout people!
*Three years later* Snout Spout Refund Offered! You pay the return shipping and get to end up empty handed!

Mine broke about a month ago; it was obviously after the mattel 30 days return policy so I just didn't bother trying to return him. I didn't even have him posed in an extreme pose. So I'd keep his trunk as neutral as possible. Now that I'm seeing other people post about the same problem, I'm a little more irritated that mine was not just a one off thing.
My MOTUC top 10 wants (POST NYTF):
Madame Razz & Broom - Scorpia - Glimmer - Modulock - Queen Angella - Horde-Troopers - Hunga the Harpy - Peekablue - Entrapta -Mermista
Filmation Sub top 5 wants: Sea Hawk - Huntara - Red Knight - Vultak - Dylamug
Small creatures that need to happen: Kowl - Imp - Lookee - 3 main twiggets
Here's how I foresee the response (if any) to this-
Uh-oh folks! It looks like mean old Hordak is causing Snout Spout to crack under the pressure! Well, an elephant never forgets so Hordak better watch his back from now on! Don't worry folks- We have heard your complaints and will look into this problem!
Followed by them ignoring it for months in the hopes that we will all forget about it while looking at shiny new pictures of upcoming figures.

How does the 25+ year old ($5 original retail value) version (which I'm sure MANY of us used with water) hold up better than the 3 month old ($20+ Shipping Adult Collector) version?!
Mine appears to but OK but (exasperated sigh) I grow increasingly weary.
My condolences for those who are not so fortunate.
Long Live MOTU!!!!

Oh man, that's terrible! I was really worried about this right away, as mine immediately had stress marks.![]()

Hrm. Yeah, I was afraid of that. Wasn't planning on moving it much anyway, but that doesn't mean this isn't crappy. I really think this should have been a segmented plastic trunk rather than the bendy one. If it wasn't the foam they used, then it would have been the wire in the trunk. Oh well, I guess. I figured they had tested this, but they didn't bother with the long-term test.
