Are you serious?? The eye makeup might be a little heavy, but the sculpt is EXACTLY like the cartoon.

I think Frosta would look better with toning the eyeliner down a bit and lighten her hair and skin.

Yeah, definetely a great improvement. Lets hope it can be reviewed prior September for thay kind of changes.

I'm quite bummed by the figures revealed and complicated schedule. There will be months over $100 and then no figures in August.
I would have preferred Lay-Saur instead of that Sir Laser Lot abomination. Except for Sorceress, Fisto & Kobra Khan, 2012 MOTU 30th Anniversary is the most weak Classics collection year.

I'm still uncertain how I feel about Sir Laserlot. He really makes me think of Roboto in "Knight Mode." I hope he brings the droves and droves of new MOTUC collectors Mattel is expecting him to bring. At the very least, MOTUC might get some free advertisement because the media *might* pick up the story that Geoff Johns has a MOTUC figure coming out. They might...

I think there is a pretty small number of people who even know who Geoff Johns is; we've all embraced our inner nerd and are happy and free with letting it shine forth ... but there are a lot of other folks who [still] have their nerd closeted.

Wow, I think Frosta's face is horrid. To me, she looks like a middle-aged hooker. Hopefully, the final figure comes out much better. I love Spikor! He's perfect in every way! Sir Laser Lot looks okay, but you think Geoff Johns would have come up with something a little bit better. The name is okay, I guess. It'd be a lot better if he were red-that way he could be the Red Knight. I love the Snake Men, and I really disliked the whole Snake Men thing from 200X. Overall, I'm okay with the reveals. I just hope Frosta turns out a lot better.

I like Sir Laser Lot, He looks and feels like a Filmation/Masters character the people that don't like him are merely the people complaining why the aren't getting _______ character instead and he'll be accused of destroying the line and being the anti-Christ.

Spikor = awesome and unexpected.

I hope Frosta's second accessory is her small, snowflake staff from the Licensing Kit picture. There was a rule that ALL characters had to come with 2 accessories...and now every MOTUC figure costs $2 more. So...hopefully she will get that other wand. If she gets MAA arm canon, Keldor's swords or any of Draego-Man's accessories as her second one I will be seriously ****** off!

I'm warming up to Sir Laserlot. His accessories are cool. I think he just needs more paint detailing. He's way too plain (colour-wise). Maybe if the "ribs" on his armour were silver and his boots had silver detailing he wouldn't look as bland?

I think I agree with you about Sir Laser Lot. I think his name (though I still don't really see how he gets it) is VERY 1980's Masters of the Universe. (Is his sword like a lightsaber? I assume that triangle thing shoots lasers?) I think the name and the bright colors really fit. I think one of the things I don't like about ToyGuru's character is the name... it is too long and doesn't seem like it fits. I would have preferred something more simple, like "Spector." All of the characters from the 80s were VERY quick read when seen. "Sir Laser Lot" fits into that group pretty well; The Mighty Spector is NOT very quick read (on sight or in name). He looks and sounds too much like a dude from DC or Marvel. "The Faceless One" is quick read. "Mer-Man" is quick read. "Clamp Champ" is quick read. What the hell is a "Mighty Spector?" Just looking at him requires too much of an explanation.

I agree. I think the 4H were made to spend a LOT of time on the DC subscription stuff because they NEED to wow a lot of people to keep that sub going for the next year. With MOTUC, Mattel probably feels they have us no matter what.

They're changing her boots to Teela flats instead of heels to be comic accurate. They aren't interchangable, they just don't have a model with the flats.

Well from time I was there at the 'Fair, the Mattel area was to procedural to even want to bother... (More details on my going to the fair thread) And at that, when I got to ask someone from Mattel as to where the MOTU was I was told.they were not.there yet.... But maybe by the time I left that changed..

I agree. I think the 4H were made to spend a LOT of time on the DC subscription stuff because they NEED to wow a lot of people to keep that sub going for the next year. With MOTUC, Mattel probably feels they have us no matter what.

I think Mattel needs to be careful about making assumptions. There has been a lot of anger within the fan community, much of it historical issues with Digital River. I am personally concerned that here we are almost half-way through the 2nd month of "The 30th Anniversary" and, aside from some unique new characters, there really isn't much setting apart 2012 as "special."

I'm excited with the reveals! Love Spikor, Frosta, and the Snake Men army builders. But I am not excited about Sir Laser Lot! However, the only thing I wish they would change to both Spikor and Frosta are the colors. I just remember Spikor being a bit of a more pronounced purple.

With the Snake Men builders, Rattlor and the others are pretty much guaranteed with all that tooling.

And for me, there are only 4 more Evil Warriors left: Jitsu, Two Bad, Ninjor, and Blast Attak (whom I don't consider to be a Snake Man; wonder what faction Classics will place him in.

I stick to vintage minus movie characters.

Frosta's face was probably just done quickly. I bet her face will look more style-guide accurate later. Maybe they can consult a make-up artist. That's not a joke.

My favroite by far is the Snakemen 2 pack, which I really didn't mind if we got those or not. But these are just spectactular!

Love the new Griffin wings! Man-At-Arms arm cannon! Keldor swords (these have to come with Spikorm right?)!

I'm guessing the production version -- which is generally molded in plastic, as opposed to being painted with a very matte type of paint -- will look closer. Also, the lighting and camera used makes a big difference, too.

Just a few minor paint app tweaks can really make a difference between 'bland' and 'pop' IMHO
