Wow - I still think MOTUC is the best line out there. OK a lot of people are very vocal about vaild problems and nitpicks, but for me, I couldn't be happier with the line. Delays do not bother me in the slightest, QC is annoying - but you get it with all toylines.
If the line is giving you too much heartache and is stressing you out too much - maybe you need to take a step back and not focus on it too much. I never go deep into issues which concern MOTUC - because at the end of the day for me it is a toyline - a hobby which I get lots of joy from - and I just want to focus on the toys themselves, It isn't the be all and end all for me.
I think the line is in a great place at the moment - yes there are issues - but I really do believe they are being looked at - things just take time. Also regarding the Toy guru situation - I do admire him, I know I certainly wouldn't be as kind and reasonable with my words as sometimes he is with the fan community - but he is doing his job and it appears to be really tough - you cannot please everyone.
Yes, the whole line is just screwed up and not worth continuing....blah, blah, blah....
I have to really disagree with you on this point. His answer is "not my problem". Really, that is what his answer communicates, whether intentional or not. Further, he encourages the customer (the .orgs very own Angel-T) to do HIS JOB FOR HIM and interface with the 4H about this issue.
Scott is the Brand Manager. Meaning he needs to MANAGE THE BRAND!!!! While I don't have his job description in front of me, I'm fairly confident that means communicating with their partners that create the product when issues or feedback arises. It's not "licking the customers butt" to take this feedback that is geared towards improving the product back to their contractors. That is what World Class Customer Service looks like.
His comment is outright rude and dismissive. There is no way around that.

I'm not sure that the QC has gotten worse (that's not a praise, it's a recognition that it always could have been better since day one). As far as saying that Matty is not putting enough effort into the figures and sculpting — well, from day one we knew that like the vintage series, this line would be heavy in shared parts. It's the only way the line will survive. A figure that many think does not have put much into it like BA Skeletor or Hurr. Hordak will pay for those figures that will have few, if any shared parts. Ram Man, King Hiss, etc. etc. (I know Ram Man is a sore spot, but he is clearly being withheld as a sub lure. My guess is 2014 or later.)

I don't know, mattel must be lining my figures with crack as I don't have any of the complaints you have. None of my figures have broken or had terrible paint jobs. Plastic doesn't feel any cheaper to me than any other figure I've had. I've always been able to get figures from digital river and the few times I've had to call them they got my issues worked out. Not the smoothest in the world I admit, but no worse than some other companies I've dealt with. As for the delays, it does suck but we're still getting the figures. I guess I have too many other things going on right now than to be worked up over some slight delays on some toys.
One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!
